No prizes for guessing where another party food favourite came from. Yes, that would be good old Marks and Spencer. I love Yorkshire puddings and when I saw mini ones in their party food section, I knew I had to get them. I was going to have these served as a side with a roast, but last night I couldn’t resist and I had them with some dips and crisps (again) !

M&S Collection 10 Mini Beef & Porcini Filled Yorkshires

”Creamy porcini mushroom, slow cooked pulled beef with red wine and a garlic and herb crumb."

These little delights took no time to cook. They were ready in 10 minutes and that was from frozen. The Yorkshire base was light and crispy, even with the beef, mushroom and crumb! The beef and mushroom filling was lovely and rich in both flavours. I don’t normally like anything that’s cooked with wine as I can normally taste it… as funny as that sounds. I absolutely hate red wine. I hate the smell and the taste of the drink, but in this dish, it really enriched the flavour of the beef. I can’t really say I got much garlic and herb flavour from the crumb, but to me that didn’t matter because the mini Yorkshires tasted amazing and they really did fly down the hatch. I had on the side a small dollop of horseradish and I think that really topped these off. Could be a reason why I didn’t taste the garlic and herb, but I rather taste beef and horseradish instead. It’s such a winning combination.

I thought these were going to be a bit heavy, far from it! My husband and I had 5 each. I could have smashed the whole lot even with the crisp and dips. These were so good. The only downside is, is that you can’t get them again!! I wish I bought more now. I hope these come back next year. They were so good.
