Cheese Lovers!

Everyone looks forward to party food and I saw this one on one of the Marks & Spencer adverts. I was so pleased that my husband managed to get his hands on one. I went back to see if they had another one today, but there wasn’t any… Gutted!!! I think it’s pretty easy to make and I will definitely give it a go, but I wanted to tell you about it because it was to die for!

M&S Collection Tear and Share Puff Pastry with Molten Camembert

”All-butter puff pastry with Regato and mature Cheddar cheese hand twisted into delicious cheese straws around a gooey Paysan Breton® Camembert. Simply bake in the oven, tear and share. Serves six."

This was really easy to heat up and when I saw the cheese start to melt in the middle and ooze outwards, I was a bit worried that there wouldn’t be any left in the centre to dip. I was wrong! The cheese did pretty much stay in place, even though it was molten. It did leak a little bit into the pastry, but that just made the pastry bits even cheesier. It wasn’t easy to tear the puff pastry cheese straws. We both went in and ripped a bit with a fork then dipped it into the cheese. The cheese was melted all the way through and the pastry was light and flaky. Apart from the pastry that was smothered in cheese, that was just pure goo, same as the party that was underneath the Camembert. This was delicious.

The packaging says it’s for six people. No it’s not! I had this with my husband and we smashed it! We even had crisps and a Marks and Spencer Hot Pizza Dip (Keep an eye out for that one tomorrow) . I dread to think how many calories I had the night I had this along with the hot pizza dip and the crisps. It was well worth it though. Anyone who loves cheese would adore this. It’s just a shame I couldn’t get another one. My mouth is watering and my tummy is aching for it. I must make my own.
