For 6 months I have been going to the Desert Botanical Garden regularly. Now I want to share pictures of pieces in Chihuly in the Desert that I have taken at different times of day, through different seasons and light.
Desert Towers is not part of the current exhibit- Chihuly in the Desert- it is a piece that was installed for the 2008 Nature of Glass exhibit and the garden purchased it after the exhibition.

It is really wonderful to see these very desert like glass sculptures as you approach the garden entrance
There have been many times that I have sat on the bench waiting for friends and watched the reactions of the visitors as they see this first glass piece.
It is cool how it echoes the yucca and agave right next to it.

Desert Tower and the garden entrance. I am so happy we will always have this sculpture here and it is wonderful that is just outside the gate so anyone can see the Chihuly. I am also so happy that people and weather have not damaged it in the 14 years since its installation.
