For 6 months I have been going to the Desert Botanical Garden regularly. Now I want to share pictures of pieces in Chihuly in the Desert that I have taken at different times of day, through different seasons and light.
Dale Chihuly
Opal and Amber Tower, 2018
14' x 8.5' x 8.5' feet (4.26m x 2.59m x 2.59m)
Blown Glass and Steel
Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix, Arizona
The first time I saw this piece was in 2019 at the Exhibition at Kew Gardens in London. I remember thinking it was ok. Not as vibrant as the other colored pieces all around it.
Now I really like the simplicity of the colors and the gorgeous shapes, especially contrasted with the mostly blue Arizona skies.
I really enjoyed standing in front of it and finding the amber throughout the piece and seeing all the movement.
Pictures in front of this awesome art work.
