In the strongest chess tournament of all time, we have all the eight quarterfinalists. The fierce fight ended with Fabiano Caruana winning first place, and world champion Magnus Carlsen and his challenger, Ian Nepomniachtchi, with a lot of luck, made it to the quarterfinals with wins in the last round, undoubtedly hiding their trump cards for the Big Match in November.

Miraculously, Giri here misses а win for the first time. Did he get tired? He should play 21.♗h5!! with the unstoppable threats ♖g3 and ♕h6. But that’s not all. Ian continues all the worse, to this position in which he again plays a move that loses monumentally:
