As some of the good curation projects out there, our highlighted authors are also handpicked to ensure that we diversify the content and the recommendations in the highlight. We want this highlight to be a place where people get inspiration, a place to learn something new, and even finding a recommendation.

Hence, throughout the week, the moderators will check the community and manually hand pick the posts. Some factors includes : the post subject, post quality, engagement, personal voice, and general effort.

@angegarLa isla de la pasi贸n - Isle of Passion by Laura Restrepo - review [ESP-ENG]"Isle of Passion is a historical novel by Laura Restrepo. It recounts the events that led 100 people to live on an island that only provided guano and was constantly battered by hurricanes and strong tides. It is an island located in the Pacific Ocean 945 km from Acapulco, Mexico. This island has belonged to Mexico since 1821, although from 1858 to 1897, it was claimed by France and the United States. For this reason, Porfirio Diaz had to take action and explain that the island had belonged to Mexico after its independence, so he decided to send a group of soldiers led by the capital Ramon Arnaud. Since 1908, the general lived there with his wife on the condition that a ship would come to bring them provisions every two months. With the Mexican Revolution, people were forgotten on that island, and many died of hunger or scurvy. It was not until 1917 that an American ship found 11 survivors made up of children and women."
@aglaideSummary of the book "The Demon and Miss Prym" written by Paulo Coelho. - [ESP / ENG]"In this novel we are going to find a battle unleashed between good and evil, to the point of bringing out the good and the bad in each of the human beings. This story begins by describing a small town which is inhabited by older people, who over time have been dominated by envy, conflict and greed. With the arrival of a stranger, berta, who is one of the princely characters, observes in front of her eyes what she has been waiting for so many years, which is the arrival of someone to the small town who manages to change her course and cause an interesting situation in that so boring place. And she could see that this man did not arrive alone, but that he brought with him a demon that only she could realize was accompanying him."
@maeugenia[ENG/ESP] Jose Tomas Boves, An Important Man in the History of Venezuela (Review)/ Jose Tomas Boves, Un Hombre Importante en la Historia de Venezuela (Rese帽a)"For those who do not know this character (Jose Tomas Boves), I want to tell you that he was an extremely violent and barbarous man, only his name instilled terror in people and it was said that wherever his horse passed he never grew grass or anything like that, he was a demon mounted on horseback . Reading this book was very exciting for me, and I am sure it will be exciting for anyone who reads it."
@titisnariyahTHE BOOK OF IMAGINARY BELIEFS REVIEW: The Book of Siblings that sees reality in prose"The Book of Imaginary Belief is the third or final book in Lala Bohang's The Book Of Siblings series. His two previous books are The Book of Forbidden Feelings which was published in 2016, and The Book of Invisible Questions which was published in 2017. Just like the second book before him, The Book of Imaginary Beliefs is also a collection of lyrical poems. which includes abstract illustrations of the author's work. The Book of Siblings is a collection of lyrical prose inspired by life events. Lyrical prose is an essay that is not bound by rhythm and rhyme. Lyrical prose belongs to a new kind of case."
