The Driveway Saga Season 3: Episode: 4 - "Our Second Significant Snowfall"

January 26th, 2021

So...it happened Again..Sort-of

It has been a pretty mild winter. We had the first snowfall that needed to have the drive way plowed over a month ago back on December 20th. We finally had another plow-able amount of snow on January 23rd. It really was not that much snow only about 5 inches, but it was heart attack snow. Heart attack because it started out with very large heavy water content flakes making it very heavy and very frozen.

As you can see it is a pretty nice sunny day today. A bit on the cold side at only 8F/-13C, one of the coldest days we have had so far.

Here is the view from where I park for the evening:

The plow guy was completely unexpected, I had not been out yet for the day so was unfamiliar with the type of snow fall we had, so it was hurry up get dressed, get the car cleared and warmed up so I could move it when he had our secondary parking area cleared. Which is here, the extreme right side with the tall snow pile:

The plow operator is pretty quick, so I just got the car cleared and moved for him to catch the primary parking spot. He did have one small slight mishap this time around, normally this would be the fourth time of plowing and he would have had berms along the edge, he got a slight bit to far over and went into a small ditch area, no real problem for him, but I am sure he was not happy about it. Here is the view of the in and out stretch of the drive:

As I mentioned above having him show up was unexpected so no real before shots, but as luck would have it on the 19th I did take a drive way picture from out my upstairs window:

So...so far a very mild winter.
