I bought my house in 1998, and as it turns out that was the perfect time and the worst time to do so. Perfect because 4 years later we got the Euro over here in Europe, which made the house shoot up in price, as so many other things did with the advent of this new European coin; that's one ruling class scam I was able to profit from.

But it was the worst time because it was in the middle of the run-up to the 2008 global financial meltdown caused by fraudulent shenanigans with mortgages; my mortgage turned out to be one of the scammy ones and for more than 10 years my monthly payments didn't matter at all. That was a ruling class scam that lost me a lot of money. But... With the world nearing yet another economical meltdown due to the artificial inflation of prices, houses are yet again priced ridiculously high; I bought mine for 90,000 Dutch florins, one euro is worth more than 2 of those ancient coins, and my house currently has an estimated worth of more than 180,000 euros. Bingo! Here's another ruling class scam that has potentially made me a lot of money! Now why doesn't that make me happy at all?
Well, that's simple; I didn't buy the house expecting to make money of it. I bought it to have a place to call home, and nothing more. So I won't be selling and I won't be pocketing any profits. A place to call home is worth much more to me, and I have that now after having lived here more than 20 years, and having raised my son together with my wife under this roof. And despite me having scored on 2 out of 3 ruling class scams, my heart bleeds for the young, the millennials who now seek a place to call home for themselves. This is the continued story of capitalism; everything we once regarded as a vital necessity, the capitalists have turned into an asset to make profits of. The privatization of everything has nothing to do with the efficiency of the markets or the inefficiency of governments. That's the lie the ruling class wants you to buy into, literally. No, it's all a ruse to cover up the real reason, which is to make profits and to comply to the demands of an ever growing economy.
After healthcare, education, public transportation, and the utilities like running water and electricity, you know the vital essentials that were once the core of "the greater good", the thing that made a collection of individuals a society in which they take care of one another, now it's the roof over our heads that's being degraded from an essential to an asset to make money from. House prices are skyrocketing because the ruling class that create or take advantage from the crises that force millions of people out of their homes, are now buying millions of homes, bidding up prices so high that they're out of reach for regular working people looking for their first home. What's more, these bastards are actually lobbying the American government to end the eviction protection so they can buy even more houses of the people that'll default on their mortgage. They did this in 2008, and they'll make even more profits now. I really don't understand people who still believe capitalism is "the best we can do"; the reality is that it's a scam, a global Ponzi scheme that continually redistributes wealth from the bottom to the top, it's a "trickle-up economy". Owning one house is personal property, and that's okay, essential even. But owning a couple of blocks of houses is called private property, property that's used only to make money of, just like owning the means of production is used to make money of the labor of employees. These things NEED to be publicly owned to put an end to this global scam. Wake up and smell socialism folks...
