Dicks In Space!

Jeff Bezos is a Great Man. And so is Elon Musk. At least that's what the mainstream media propaganda wants you to believe. Our minds are being poisoned with an unconditional belief in individualism, that some individuals are better and more deserving than others, and that on very rare occasions individuals rise up above all the rest of us on their own merits.

Here's a thought: maybe the best indication to date that individualism and the belief in Great Man Theory, the idea that society and history itself are defined by the impact of a few great men or heroes, have gone haywire, is the phenomenon that the space race is now between two individuals, where it used to be a race between world powers. The United States and the U.S.S.R. for decades tried to be the first in space as a sort of test or proof that their ideology is the best. For decades the central underlying contest was between capitalism and communism; which would be the first to conquer space?

That race is now reduced to a contest between two white men, two Great Men; Elon Musk of Tesla and Jeff Bezos of Amazon. Which capitalist owner of what multinational giant will be most successful in their personal efforts to conquer space? This is a contest between ideologies no more, and they're not really adversaries anymore, as they both promote the same individualist Great Man ideology. They both underline the bogus idea of the existence of a meritocracy in which the most talented, smartest or hard working individuals deservedly float to the top of the socioeconomic ranking order. This "meritocracy" is in fact nothing but our modern substitute for the Divine Right of Kings that was the theoretical underpinning of the lofty position of wealth and power of the royal families of yesteryear.

Just watch the below linked video to see how the mainstream media propaganda machine sells us on the heroic efforts of Jeff Bezos, who will endeavor to make a 10 minute flight to the edge of space in his own rocket-ship. The commentator, Russel Brand, rightly points out the fact that in the mainstream propaganda piece there's nothing said about how this little hobby of mr. Amazon is funded by the Americans' tax dollars, and by the work of his underpaid and overworked employees. The reason for this is obvious, as it would pull the rug out from under the Great Man Theory. It would admit to the real world fact that Bezos, nor anyone else, is capable of creating the wealth needed to have such an expensive hobby. Even the shape of the rocket ship seems to be designed to enhance Bezos' manhood, as if to say that every Great Man has a Great Wiener, as if to say that he truly is the undisputed winner in the father of all dick-measuring contests...
