Solos weekly picks: Cooking

This week we will take a look at some minnows posts about the food they love. I found some home made pizza, a spicy veggie soup recipe, and a couple desserts. It was alot of fun seeing how they put the ingredients together and get some delicious food.

A dessert using raisins and candied fruits in this recipe. They would use wheat flower along with some egg, lemon and baking powder to create a tasty treat.

Some Vietnamese pancakes are made in this post, they are quite large and thin compared to the pancakes I am used to eating. Added ingredients such as carrot, peppers and chive can be added as well.

Here we see how they make a birthday cake, first a bread is made and then the top is cut off to make it completely flat. Adding icing and other ingredients they then add another bread layer.. And then more treats are added to the cake.

Using many fresh ingredients a spicy noodle soup is made. Many veggies are added such as Potatoes, Taro, Yam, Carrot, Pumpkin and others to make a yummy soup. Some duck sauce is added as well to put even more flavor into this dish.

A home-made pizza is the focus of this post, using ham, sausage, oregano, and a mix of cheese a nice meal all comes together. It was interesting seeing this made in a pan, which helped it all form together. I need to give that style of pizza making a try, as mine tends to have stuff falling off of it by the end just before cooking it.
