This year has been wonderful for many reasons, first of all we left behind the terrible 2020 and on the other hand we are all living our lives to the fullest after being confined to our homes for almost a year. It is for that and for other good reasons that this year we have celebrated to the fullest the medium freedom we have, going again to the movies, to the malls or simply enjoying the right we have to do whatever we want.
That's why today I wanted to make the first initiative of my own since I joined this great platform a few months ago and what better topic to talk about than music. Music fills our soul with different emotions, transports us to times of our past, helps us remember people or moments that marked us or simply brings millions of memories to our mind.
This year has not been very incredible musically speaking, little by little the industry has adapted to the new times and what is currently being consumed has become more music to listen to than to analyze the lyrics that make up its contents. However I have been seduced by some songs that have been released this 2021 market and that for better or worse have become the favorites of the masses.
That's why I want to ask you for your top 5 favorite songs so far in 2021, those songs that you can recommend to all hivers to listen to. Those 5 songs released this year that make you dance, laugh or cry.
For me it has been particularly difficult to choose between a few songs because this year has not been one of my favorites in terms of music. But as there is always an exception to the rule, there is one or another song that I have liked and today I bring you my top 5 so that you too can join in, so let's go.
Este año ha sido maravilloso por muchas razones, en primer lugar dejamos atrás el terrible 2020 y por otro lado todos estamos viviendo al máximo nuestras vidas después de estar casi un año confinados en nuestras casas. Es por eso y por otras buenas razones que este año hemos festejado al máximo la mediana libertad que tenemos, yendo de nuevo al cine, a los centros comerciales o simplemente gozar del derecho que tenemos de hacer cuanto queremos.
Es por eso que hoy quise hacer la primera iniciativa propia desde que me uní hace unos meses a esta gran plataforma y que mejor tema para hablar que de la música. La música nos llena el alma con distintas emociones, nos transporta a épocas de nuestro pasado, nos ayuda a recordar personas o momentos que nos marcaron o simplemente trae millones de recuerdos a nuestra mente.
Este año no ha sido muy increíble musicalmente hablando, poco a poco la industria se ha adaptado a los nuevos tiempos y lo que se está consumiendo actualmente se ha vuelto más música para escuchar que para analizar las letras que componen sus contenidos. Sin embargo me he dejado seducir por algunas canciones que se han estrenado este 2021 mercado y que para bien o para mal se han convertido en las favoritas de las masas.
Así que hoy quiero preguntarles por su top 5 de canciones favoritas de lo que va de 2021, esas rolas que puedan recomendarnos escuchar a todos los hivers. Esas 5 canciones estrenadas este año que los hacen bailar, reír o llorar.
Para mí ha sido particularmente difícil elegir entre unas cuantas canciones porque este año no ha sido de mis favoritos en cuanto a música. Pero como siempre hay una excepción a la regla, hay una que otra canción que me ha gustado y hoy les traigo mi top 5 para que ustedes también se animen a participar, así que Let's go.
Lil Nas is a black and gay singer who made this year worthwhile. His music has become iconic since his 2019 release of "Old Town Road" a duet with Billy Ray Cyrus, a song that spent over 16 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This year he had the audacity to release a song that to me is one of the catchiest songs of his entire career. Montero (Call me by your Name) is a song with a spectacular beat and a controversial video that shows the artist falling from heaven to hell.
Without a doubt Lil Nas has become one of my favorite singers, for representing me as gay, as black and as an activist. Plus his aesthetic is the best, every costume and video is unique and original, so of course I recommend it.

Su música se ha convertido en un icono desde que en 2019 lanzará al mercado "Old Town Road" a dúo con Billy Ray Cyrus, canción que paso más de 16 semanas en el #1 del Billboard Hot 100. Este año tuvo la osadía de estrenar una canción que para mí es una de las más pegajosas de toda su carrera. Montero (Call me by your Name) es una canción con un ritmo espectacular y con un vídeo bastante polémico que muestra al artista cayendo del cielo al infierno.
Sin duda Lil Nas se ha convertido en uno de mis cantantes favoritos, por representarme como gay, como negro y como activista. Además su estética es lo máximo, cada vestuario y video es único y original, así que por supuesto se las recomiendo.

La conocí siendo parte de Fifth Harmony, del que si era muy fanático pero después de su salida de dicho grupo le perdí el paso a esta joven cantante cubano-estadounidense que este año estreno el álbum titulado “Familia” su regreso a la música después de los 2 exitosos singles “Havana” y “Señorita” ambas canciones lograron escalar al #1 del Billboard Hot 100. Sin duda esta canción se ha convertido en una de mis favoritas desde que la escuche por primera vez en la pasada edición de los VMAs 2021, por estar cargada de ritmos latinos y palabras en español que harían bailar hasta el más amargado.

Rosalía se ha convertido en una de la promesas musicales más increíbles del momento, es una estrella, lo último escuche de esta cantante fue “TKN” que una colaboración con el cantante Travis Scott cuyo video y música me encantaron. Este año le ha tocado el turno a la cantante dominicana Tokischa que se ha unido a la ROSALÍA para estrenar el tema “Linda” una canción con un ritmo pegajoso con una letra bastante loca y asquerosa pero a la que no pude resistirme.
Doja Cat has had an amazing year and has not stopped giving us art in 2021 after releasing Say so I thought it would just be another one hit wonder, but after she released a remix of that song with Nicki Minaj which in my opinion was not necessary she started a new streak, which continues today. Kiss me more in collaboration with Zsa is a wonderful song, with which she has achieved her second top #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Definitely a quite sensual song and an ode to kissing that you can't miss in your player.
Doja Cat ha tenido un año increíble y no ha parado de darnos arte en 2021 después de estrenar Say so creí que solo sería otra one hit wonder, pero después de que lanzara un remix de esa canción con Nicki Minaj que a mi parecer no era necesario comenzó una nueva racha, que sigue hoy en día. Kiss me more en colaboración con Zsa es una canción maravillosa, con la que ha conseguido su segundo top #3 en el Billboard Hot 100. Definitivamente una canción bastante sensual y una oda a los besos que no puede faltar en tu reproductor.
This song is my guilty pleasure of the list, released earlier this year by Colombian singer Camilo, it has pretty basic but catchy lyrics. I don't like Camilo's music, but this song in particular stuck with me for most of 2021. Most of you will have heard it so I'm not going to recommend it xd
