RE: 2022 starts and DSLR cameras die?

Whether or not prices go up and/or down depends on several factors. Economies are not or don't have to be influenced within a vacuum in other words. My advice to people is towards decentralized open-source solutions regarding hardware, software, etc.

Larger companies can stop making cameras, camcorders, lens, accessories, batteries, etc. However, at the same time, smaller companies can make adapters and a variety of things which can be compatible to cameras. Prices don't have to be fixed. However, prices are influenced by the centralization of the dollar, the not-federalized not-centralized not-reserve system of central banks. Super mega hyperinflation is and has been in effect due to globalism, lockdown, global tyranny, a wide variety of moving parts.

People can buy and sell parts. People can try to make their own things and step away from relying too much on the control and monopoly of corporatism, cronyism, etc. I agree with your point regarding the used market. But my point would be that it doesn't have to be limited to used items. We can do a lot more than just play in the sandbox made by others.
