S&S Invitational: April Fools Edition

๐Ÿ•บ Welcome to the Scholar and Scribe Invitational ๐Ÿ•บ

The Invitational is our bi-weekly, super-duper, writing contest. It is where we match quills and draw blood all for the sake of the craft. We all know a 'friendly' competition never hurts anyone, much, especially when it can be used as a platform to improve your writing. ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐Ÿงน HOUSEKEEPING ๐Ÿงน

Only two winners this week. Our other participants didn't meet the word count limit, unfortunately. Remember that this contest is intended to test your quill folks. Try to challenge yourselves and keep with the prescribed guidelines.

Tukar crawled closer, aiming for a thick patch of brush. He reached it unnoticed, and hid. He slowly prepared his shot, but didn't pull back on the bowstring. "Aspen is going to drive him towards me. If I stay here, I can get a perfect shot," he thought.

๐Ÿฅˆ Silver: 40 SCHOLAR, 2 SCRIBE, 1 HSBI, 200 Ecency points
@Loveth97 with Treacherous lover

Princess Tatiana was the only daughter of King Jamar of the Pamatine tribe. They were a tribe known for their beautiful pink skin and exquisite bodily features. The Kingdom was richly blessed with herbalists, healers, and other gifted people, but princess Tatiana was the most special. She had a skin that glowed even at night, her hair was silky, and it was known to possess healing powers. She could raise dead beings just by touching them, and she could speak to creatures of the forest.

๐Ÿคบ Genre and Theme ๐Ÿคบ

The story you submit MUST adhere to the following prompts:

๐ŸŽฅ Genre: COMEDY
๐Ÿคน Theme: MASQUERADE

It's the month of laughter and joy! And thus far, in all the time of this contest's existence, we haven't had a comedy competition. In my country, April Fools is known as the Day of Masks. Sorta like Holloween. And from my understanding other countries have this custom as well, so the theme seemed fitting. There are many ways you can play around with this genre/theme combo, and I am excited to read ya'll's interpretations. ๐Ÿ˜

May the odds - and your creative energy - be ever in your favor!

We'd like to give out a big shout-out and thank you to Ecency for sponsoring this contest! ๐Ÿค—

A big thank you to @melinda010100 as well for the seamless communication.

Check out the Ecency front-end and/or mobile app for more information on how to use your points.
