Beer Tasting: Bitburger Hell and more

Hello, beer tasters! 🍻 😎 🍻

I've been on business travel this week, now I'm back home and I'm collecting beer memories that will be just right for this community of ours.
I've only had beers I've never had before, well, after the work of course, when I had nothing to do as a stranger in a strange city :) 😁

More or less everything happened in Ramstein, Germany, and the surrounding area. I don't know if I can describe everything in detail, you know, one evening we were here, another afternoon there and the third evening somewhere else again ...
Basically, this post is more like a travel-beer-food post ...

After a 10-hour car journey, my colleagues and I arrived at Hotel Christine, Landstuhl, and checked in.

🍻 😎 🍻

Yes, the colleague who invited me on this trip is a former pilot and already knew this hotel, as it's where the crews of pilots on the move stay, wherever they are.
And then thirst. First of all, we have to quench our thirst in the place where we are staying.

Bayreuther Hell

ramst2.jpg

It's a Helles, classic bavarian lager, brewed by Bayreuther Bierbrauerei, Bayreuth, Bavaria, Germany. Draft, 0.5 l, alcohol 4.9%.
Nice, clear yellow color and very tasty after 10 hours drive.

Bitburger Premium Pils

ramst3.jpg

Another draft beer, pilsner, brewed by Bitburger Brauerei, Bitburg, Germany. 0.5 l, alcohol 4.8%. Clear yellow color, a little more intense hop bitterness than the previous beer, it was fresh and easy to drink.

Well, we repeated that a few more times and ate something, and went to sleep.

🍻 😎 🍻

The next day was intensely busy, but, a pause for lunch and, of course, beer to go with it.

Ramsteiner

ramst4.jpg

From a local brewery, I couldn't find a link, draft, 0.5 l, alcohol 5%. My colleague drank a red beer and I drank a light one.
With classic German sausage in curry sauce and mashed potatoes, it was just right.

ramst5.jpg

After lunch, two hours of coordination, details, specifications, standards ... ugh ... a head full of data ... I couldn't wait to finish. Maybe I'm already too old for all this?

Well, when we were done with the work, it was still daylight and of course, back to the hotel, we go.
On the way we see a nice little place and why don't we stop for a moment? :) Oscar's Irish Bar. 😎

ramst6.jpg

But would you like to eat something?
Unfortunately, the kitchen is closed today. Beer only :) 🍻 🍺

ramst8.jpg

I had a Kilkenny Red and later a Murphy's Haze IPA. Wonderful :)

ramst7.jpg

The toilet is downstairs, deep in the catacombs. It's an interesting way to get there, though, a whole bunch of Guinness beer memes ...

ramst9.jpg

And then back to the hotel ... repeat the exercise ...

ramst10.jpg

🍻 😎 🍻

ramst11.jpg

... Bitburger and Bayreuther beers rules ... many of them ...

ramst12.jpg

... and then a deep sleep ...

🍻 😎 🍻

I have a new day ahead of me. Everything I've tried so far seems to have been great, with no headaches or nausea :)

After a heavy breakfast, back to work, and a bit of shopping in the late afternoon. As befits any beer taster, I of course bought a few beers. I'll describe them in the next posts, don't worry, haha.

Well, I also took the opportunity, in the store, they had a very good Sierra Nevada Box in the shop. 9€ for 12 cans is a bargain, here the price would be at least double.

ramst14.jpg

We're going to taste Sierra Nevada Pale Ale at the hotel, it was sunny outside.

ramst15.jpg

It got cloudy very quickly, we hadn't emptied a single can and it started to rain. Autumn shower.

ramst16.jpg

Soon the rain stopped and a beautiful rainbow appeared. Of course, we then opened another can :) 🍻 🍺 😁

ramst17.jpg

But it started to rain again and we had no choice but to go for dinner, I had something fruity and sweet :)

ramst18.jpg

🍻 😎 🍻

Another day has passed, the last day of discussions with partners. We have successfully completed the first phase of the project, which should start sometime in December next year, maybe even a month earlier.

To finish, we're going out for dinner together at Big Emma.

ramst19.jpg

🍻 😎 🍻

ramst20.jpg

They also have their own small brewery.

ramst21.jpg

We were served drinks immediately :)

ramst22.jpg

Big Emma is a classic German pilsner, cloudy orange in color, very fresh, straight from the barrel, and of course very tasty.

ramst23.jpg

I opted for JΓ€ger Schnitzel, which was so huge I could barely eat it ... ugh ...

ramst24.jpg

That would be it.
The next day, yesterday morning, we headed back home. 10 hours drive again ...
