Last year, during the lockdown, Marc-Olivier Lamothe painted 5 walls in different neighborhoods to give a little joy to the inhabitants with his very colorful works. Very nice initiative.

Marc-Olivier Lamothe uses geometric forms and vivid colors in a two-dimensional space in order to create an amusing and chaotic universe, the objects seems to float in space with one color background. He participated to the 2019 Mural Festival (you can see the mural on Street Art #263) and 2020 Edition (Street Art #309)
Pour ses œuvres, Marc-Olivier Lamothe utilise des couleurs vives et des formes géométriques en 2D pour créer un univers chaotic mais amusant. Les personnages, les objets semblent flotter sur un fond uni. Il a participé aux deux dernières éditions de Mural Festival :
- 2019 : Street Art #263,
- 2020 : Street Art #309.

For the Murs de la Joie / Walls of Happiness, Marc-Olivier Lamothe wanted to pay homage to the resilience (a very fashionable word, I wanted to use it too 😀 ) of the persons living Montreal during the confinement due to the COVID. His colorful universe allows to escape for a few moments and imagine a better world.
Pour les Murs de la Joie, Marc-Olivier Lamothe a voulu rendre hommage à la résilience (mot très en vogue, moi aussi je voulais l'utiliser 😀) aux habitants de Montréal qui vivaient avec le confinement dû à la COVID. Son univers coloré permet de s'échapper quelques instants et d'imaginer un monde meilleur.
I also took a picture of the Wall E at the corner of Mont-Royal and Papineau. A bit more difficult because there is a lot of traffic on Papineau and to take good pictures you have to be in the middle of the road.
J'ai aussi pris en photo le Mur E au coin de Mont-Royal et Papineau. Un peu plus difficile car il y a beaucoup de circulation sur Papineau et pour prendre des bonnes photos il faut être au milieu de la route.
