Here a bio (updated from my previous posts) Jonathan Bergeron aka Johnny Crap aka Zen. Self-taught painter and illustrator, he lives in Montreal and began to paint graffiti that ignited his interest in Art. During his first years as illustrator, he made a name in the Kustom Kulture (custom cars / hot rod). He also designs t-shirts for artists like Slayer, Anthrax, GnR's, Mastodon & Alice Cooper. Now, he's more a painter, but doesn't abandon Street Art, illustrating dark imaginary scenes with animals, skulls (especially the Calavera : Mexican skull). Last fall, he done a series about movie's bad guys. He's also a great writer with his signature Zen, always with a very cool 3D effect. And finally, big fan of Star Wars...
Voilà la biographie, mise à jour de mes précédents post sur cet artiste, Jonathan Bergeron aka Johnny Crap aka Zen. Artiste et illustrateur autodidacte basé à Montréal, il a commencé le graffiti jeune ce qui a provoqué un intérêt vif pour l'Art en général. Durant ses premières années comme illustrateur, il s'est fait un nom dans la Kustom Kulture (voitures modifiées et hot rod). Il fait aussi le design de t-shirt pour les artistes comme Slayer, Anthrax, GnR’s, Mastodon & Alice Cooper. Maintenant, il est plus un peintre mais n'a pas abandonné sa passion de jeunesse le Street Art avec ses murales répresentant souvent un imaginaire plutôt sombre avec des crânes (dont la Calavera, le crâne Mexicain) et les méchants des films de superhéros. Il est aussi un writer sous le nom de Zen avec un style 3D. Et pour finir, grand fan de Star Wars...
