Other Niche Communities Curation Report #155

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 155th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

My First Green Bean Canning Session For This Year

After picking the green beans several times, as I wrote about in my previous garden post, I had enough to can a batch of beans. I can the beans in pint jars and my canner holds 8 pint jars. With only 2 of us to feed, there's no sense in using bigger jars for the green beans. I wasn't sure if I had enough beans for a full load, but I knew I was pretty close.

My Succulent Collection (Part 1)

Succulent are the easiest plants to grow. You don't need to be a pro to grow these beauties. Succulents don't need much in the way of care either and could be forgotten for weeks without any major damage done to them. People who forget to water houseplants should try growing succulents. They are not just beautiful but they are vividly colored too.

Black and White Flower Photography

Why show flowers in black and white? Because it's a completely different mood. I usually do both variants in PS, color, and black&white. Often, black&white is my favorite. Rejecting color to especially emphasize textures, shapes, light to create a completely different atmosphere. Trying different channels, contrast, brightness, to get what I want and what I feel best with... may not be the same as how it makes you feel.

Vlog - How to cut open a Durian

The local Durians in Malaysia some of them, do not have the pungent stinky smell that some Durians have. The fruit is creamy like eating mozzarella. The knife that is used for prying open the fruit is specially designed and shorter than normal blades that you would find in the kitchen for cutting vegetables.

Here's My New Character Drawing: Calm But Dangerous

Although our character today is very similar to a human with his eyes and head structure, some physical features distinguish him from people. The biggest difference is their ears. the tips of his long ears are pointed and bent towards his head. His nose and mouth structure also look slightly different. The swelling of the upper lip area makes me think that he is hiding his huge teeth under his lip.
