Para el día de hoy les comparto mi propia ilustración del cuarto signo correspondiente al orden astrológico; siendo este parte de mi reciente temática en la que iré retratando a los 12 signos del zodiaco mientras nos adentramos en su historia y como es que estos llegaron a ganar su lugar en el cielo.

For today I share with you my own illustration of the fourth sign corresponding to the astrological order; this being part of my recent theme in which I will be portraying the 12 signs of the zodiac as we delve into their history and how they came to earn their place in the sky.
♋ 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 ♋
Cáncer es el cuarto signo correspondiente a los 12 signos del zodiaco, perteneciente a la casa nº 4, la cual representa el hogar, la familia y los orígenes. Es un signo de agua que se asocia por su necesidad de seguridad, siendo un signo muy emocional, protector e intuitivo. Las personas nacidas bajo este signo se caracterizan por su naturaleza amable y sensible, siendo estos posesores de una gran creatividad e intuición; Su fecha correspondiente abarca desde el 21 de junio hasta el 22 de Julio.
Cancer is the fourth sign corresponding to the 12 signs of the zodiac, belonging to house number 4, which represents home, family and origins. It is a water sign that is associated with its need for security, being a very emotional, protective and intuitive sign. People born under this sign are characterized by their kind and sensitive nature, being possessors of great creativity and intuition; its corresponding date ranges from June 21 to July 22.

Esta historia comienza con el nacimiento de Heracles, el hijo más popular de Zeus y principal víctima de los ataques de Hera, esposa del Rey Olímpico.
This story begins with the birth of Herakles, the most popular son of Zeus and the main victim of the attacks of Hera, wife of the Olympic King.
Heracles, a pesar de los esfuerzos de Hera, nació y logró alcanzar la adultez esquivando los ataques de su madrastra, al menos hasta su matrimonio; desposó a la princesa Mégara, con quien tuvo descendencia y, Hera, en un intento supremo, le provocó un ataque de locura a Heracles, haciendo que éste matara a su esposa e hijos. En penitencia por dichos actos, se le encomendaron las famosas doce tareas.
Herakles, despite the efforts of Hera, was born and managed to reach adulthood dodging the attacks of his stepmother, at least until his marriage; he married the princess Megara, with whom he had offspring and Hera, in a supreme attempt, provoked an attack of madness to Herakles, causing him to kill his wife and children. In penance for these acts, he was given the famous twelve tasks.
La segunda de estas es la que le da los reflectores a la estrella de este relato; Carcinos, un cangrejo gigante que habitaba en la laguna de Lerna, lugar que también merodeaba la Hidra de Lerna, protagonista de la segunda tarea.
The second of these is the one that gives the spotlight to the star of this story; Carcinos, a giant crab that lived in the lagoon of Lerna, a place that also prowled the Hydra of Lerna, protagonist of the second task.
Heracles, dispuesto a ganarse su redención, no perdió el tiempo en cortar las múltiples cabezas del dragón para encontrar que, por cada que cortaba, dos más brotaban. En medio del combate, Hera envió a Carcinos en ayuda de la Hidra, como no puede ser diferente.
Heracles, willing to earn his redemption, wasted no time in cutting off the dragon's multiple heads to find that, for every one he cut off, two more sprouted. In the midst of the combat, Hera sent Carcinos to the Hydra's aid, as it could be no different.
Con sus pinzas intentó despistarlo para que la Hidra lo matara, pero el héroe griego con super fuerza, aquella alimentada con la furia, lo aplastó con su talón como única respuesta antes de volver a solucionar la situación en la que se encontraba.
With his pincers he tried to throw him off so that the Hydra would kill him, but the Greek hero with super strength, that one fueled with fury, crushed him with his heel as the only response before returning to solve the situation he found himself in.
Hera, tanto agradecida como descorazonada por el valiente pero infructuoso esfuerzo de Carcinos al responder a su llamado, lo colocó entre las estrellas, creando la constelación de Cáncer en el Zodiaco.
Hera, both grateful and disheartened by Carcinos' valiant but unsuccessful effort in answering her call, placed him among the stars, creating the constellation Cancer in the Zodiac.

I started by sketching on the sheet using the 2h pencil.
Continuing with the same pencil, I defined the drawing by marking details and features.
I made an outline using the pen to highlight the lines of the drawing.
I applied a shadow detailing using the 4b pencil in order to achieve a volume effect.
Incorporate a digital retouching. Applying light effects at the same time that I created a background to finish the drawing; all this through the application "Ibis Paint".
