Los que deforestaban el bosque eran tipos malos de horrible parecer, los habitantes del pueblo le teníamos miedo y solo podíamos presenciar como talaban los árboles centenarios de aquel tesoro natural. No sabía de donde provenían, solo recuerdo que llevaban sacos de pieles animales que yo confundido creí que eran de piel humana.

Cada viernes el pueblo se reunía para implorar a los dioses del bosque, que alejaran a esos tipos malvados. Todo ocurriría muy rápido; cerca de donde dormían aquellos hombres había un aquelarre, una de las brujas cansada de tanta maldad, planeo con astucia la venganza del bosque.

Mientras volaba en su escoba, logro en buena tierra aterrizar, entre gritos y alaridos en aquella noche pudimos atisbar como corrían despavoridos y sin aliento aquellos villanos sin corazón. Nunca más volveríamos a saber de ellos y junto al aquelarre pudimos el suelo del bosque recuperar de un nefasto final.

Those who deforested the forest were horrible looking bad guys, the inhabitants of the village were afraid of them and we could only witness how they cut down the ancient trees of that natural treasure. I didn't know where they came from, I only remember that they were carrying sacks of animal skins that I thought were human skins.

Every Friday the people gathered to implore the gods of the forest to keep those evil guys away. Everything would happen very quickly; close to where those men slept there was a coven, one of the witches tired of so much evil, cunningly planned the revenge of the forest.

While flying on her broom, she managed to land on good ground, between screams and screams that night we could glimpse how those heartless villains ran terrified and breathless. We would never hear from them again, and together with the coven we were able to recover the forest floor from an ill-fated end.
