Titan Quest: Tale of the Wu Part 3

Welcome back to the Tale of the Wu - A playthrough of Titan Quest with all the current expansions available. Starting from Greece in Part 1 and Part 2, we now travel to Egypt for the Act II of the storyline!

I started a brand new character after getting the new expansion to the game: Eternal Embers and took the new Mastery: Nedian, together with the Earth Mastery to form the "Wu" Class. And you know that Yu would make a good Wu... and so he is!

We have completed Act I and discovered the Order of Prometheus, an ancient Order in charge of the secrets of the War of the Gods and the imprisonment of the God-slayer - Typhon.

Time to get to Egypt and meet with... checks notes Imhotep who is a member of the Order.

Nice Staff old man! Would you like to trade?

So as you can see, we are in Rhakotis, an Egyptian dock city. The setting and design of the various locations in Titan Quest is really cool and often there are little animations and funny things to see.

Pro tip Usually it is easy to see a Side-Quest by seeing the yellow exclaimation mark above someone's head. Look at the guard above, he actually has a quest for you but because he is standing before the brazier, a lot of people miss this quest because of this and only find out about the quest when they pick up a weird sword on a creature in the upcoming area.

Fast forward to the Rhakotis Library where there is a scroll or something you need. "A Telkine came this way." Is something you hear a lot. He was looking for a scroll, you should protect that scroll! The scroll is gone... follow the Telkine to the next area...

In the previous Act you found Relic Shards to stick into weapons and armor, they were all Greek themed, now you will find shards belonging to Egyptian Gods.

At the end of the Library, there is one big beetle... This boss is usually quite a challenge for more characters, especially Mage characters... Except for the Wu. Because of the Nedian Mastery and passives involving potions, I gain a lot of Poison Resistance... I hope this helps me most in Act IV... but that will come in the future...

"I hate sand." - Anakin Skywalker

Instead of just mummies and zombies you sometimes end up fighting some massive construct guardians!

I levelled up to get my second summon for the Wu - The Core Dweller. He has a lot more health than the Teracotta General but he dies pretty fast as well...

Egypt has a serious bug problem. Gian beetles, little beetles, giant scorpion people, worms and giant ant eaters... jeez... Here I get the Eye of Chaos. I also needed a staff called the Hand of Balance... kind of feels like another quest I did in another hack n slash where I needed to combine into a big staff... You take these two things to Imhotep and wouldn't you know it? He combines them together (without a cube) to form the Staff of Kings. Which is a key...

A Key to go see the second Telkine!

Out of the first three Telkine this one is probably the hardest, mainly because of the relative level you are at, his ability to split into three and the beams of light.

Stay away from the beams of light!

Killed the Telkine and found the Shield of the Royal Guard...

And the Pharaoh's Standard. Nice Rare item for a Mage...

Snake Staff! I am the Wu Pharaoh! I actually got annoyed at setting the graphics THIS low though... I will be setting the graphics up a little. Need a sweet spot that does not make me lag but gives me better pictures.

As a secondary boss to the Act, you also face this giant sand Wraith... I hate sand...

And then you use the Staff to open a portal!

Join me next week for Part 4 of Yu the Wu and You will see what Yu finds on the other side of that golden swirly!

Act II Complete!

Cheers!
