Hello, internet people! Today I will be brief in this post, it will be a bit more relaxed post, as I will simply show you the progress of my plants and also some new ones. I hope you like it.

First let's talk about the progress of the plants that I had already shown you in the previous post, let's start with the cucumber plant:
Primero hablemos de los avances de las plantas que ya les había mostrado en el post anterior, vamos a empezar por la planta de pepinos:
As it grows, the cucumber plant (which is a vine) gets entangled from somewhere, I placed a grid behind it so it would have something to hold on to, but there was a tiny detail: the plant grew in the wrong direction and then it didn't lean towards the grid but towards the chili bell pepper plants next to it, so I had to help it by tying the stems to the grid, so the new ones that grew would get entangled on their own.
A medida que crece, la planta de pepino (que es de enredadera) va enganchándose de algún lugar, yo le coloqué una rejilla detrás para que tuviese de dónde agarrarse, pero hubo un minúsculo detallito: la planta creció en la dirección equivocada y entonces no se inclinaba hacia la rejilla, sino hacia las plantas de ajíes que tiene junto a ella, entonces tuve que ayudarla atando los tallos a la rejilla, así los nuevos que crecieran irían enredándose solos.
Now let's look at the chili bell pepper plants:

As you can see, it has new chili peppers (I had the first harvest but I lost the photos), however, they have grown new ones and I took photos of them. I have three chili plants and the truth is that they are quite fruitful because they have grown new bulbs (which will soon be chili peppers) and as you can see, they also have already grown chili peppers.
Como pueden ver, tiene nuevos ajíes (tuve la primera cosecha pero perdí las fotos), sin embargo, pues han crecido nuevos y les saqué fotos. Tengo tres plantas de ajíes y la verdad es que son bastante fructíferas pues han salido nuevos bulbos (que serán pronto ajíes) y pues como pueden observar, tiene también ajíes ya crecidos.
Here you can see how the chives I planted are growing and also the flowers of the coriander (which have already come out again and will soon be spreading their seeds).
Aquí pueden ver como están creciendo los cebollinos que planté y también las flores de los cilantros (que ya salieron de nuevo y pronto estarán esparciendo sus semillas).
There has been heavy rainfall, so that's why my plants are quite large and green.
Ha habido fuertes precipitaciones, así que por eso mis plantas están bastante grandes y verdes.
Plantas de parchita (maracuyá)/passion fruit's plants (passion fruit)
This plant really belongs to my mother, however, I'm the one who helps her to keep it as healthy as possible. This plant takes a long time to grow as it tends to climb and the best thing to do is to place a structure to support it. In our case, my mom made a grid in the ceiling but it has not yet grown enough to get there.
Esta planta realmente es de mi mamá, sin embargo, soy yo la que la ayudo a mantenerla lo más saludable posible. Esta planta tarda bastante, bastante en crecer ya que suele trepar y lo idóneo es colocarle una estructura a la que tomarse. En nuestro caso, mi mamá le hizo una rejilla en el techo pero aún no ha crecido lo suficiente para llegar ahí.
In addition, there is the problem of caterpillars (they hide under the leaves) and eat them, then I had to take a cardboard box to move them and take them to a grove near my house and relocate them, because if I leave them on the plant, they will end up eating the whole plant.
Además surgió el problema de que se llena de orugas (se esconden bajo las hojas) y se las comen, entonces tuve que tomar una caja de cartón para trasladarlas y llevarlas a un bosquecillo cerca de casa y reubicarlas, ya que si las dejo en la planta, terminarán por comerla entera.
In fact there you can see the holes they made in the leaves of the plant. I recently made a natural insecticide (an infusion of garlic) and sprayed it on them and so far no more caterpillars have appeared.
De hecho ahí pueden ver los orificios que les hicieron a las hojas de la planta. Recientemente hice un insecticida natural (una infusión de ajo) y los rocío en ellas. Por ahora no han aparecido más orugas.
Planta de limoncillo / Lemongrass plant
I love this plant, naturally it´s used to make infusions because besides having a very pleasant flavor, it has several properties, especially for the respiratory area. The infusions are usually made hot, however, in Venezuela, there is also its counterpart, a drink with a lot of ice.
Yo adoro esta planta, naturalmente es empleada para hacer infusiones ya que además de tener un sabor bastante agradable, tiene diversas propiedades, sobre todo para el área respiratoria. Las infusiones suelen hacerse calientes, sin embargo, en Venezuela, también está su contraparte, un refresco con mucho hielo.
The brown leaves (totally dead) I usually remove them as they are subtracting hydration and protein to the rest of the green leaves. It's a very easy plant to take care of and it reproduces and grows very fast. My mother gave almost half of the plant as a gift a few days ago and it has grown all over again.
Las hojas de color marrón (totalmente muertas) suelo quitarselas, ya que van restandole hidratación y proteínas al resto de las hojas verdes. Es una planta muy facil de cuidar y que se reproduce y crece muy rápido. Mi mamá hace unos días regaló casi la mita de la planta y ya creció toda otra vez.
Planta de Alove Vera / Alove Vera plant
This plant has many properties, it's moisturizing and natural healing, it also helps against constipation, I usually use it for cosmetic purposes (I use the gel on the skin or hair to keep them soft and hydrated).
Esta planta tiene muchas propiedades: es hidratante y cicatrizante natural, también ayuda contra el estreñimiento, yo generalmente la uso para fines cosméticos (uso el gel en la piel o el cabello para mantenerlos suaves he hidratados)
It isn't a difficult plant to take care of at all, just water it from time to time (not often because it's an arid plant) and that's it. The plant grows fast and reproduces by itself.
No es una planta difícil de cuidar en lo absoluto, solo hay que regarla de vez en cuando (no seguido porque es una planta árida) y ya está. La planta crece rápido y se reproduce por sí sola.
Planta de Pimentón / Paprika Plant
I love paprika, so one of the things I most wanted to do was, to plant some paprika plants, so I bought one and proceeded to plant the seeds:
Amo con locupa el pimentón, asi que una de las cosas que más quería hacer era plantar algunas plantas de este vegetal, entonces compré uno y procedí a plantar las semillas:
First I mixed common soil with compost soil (soil in which various organic elements are decomposed), this is called "preparing the soil".
Primero mezclé tierra común con tierra de composta (tierra en la que se descomponen varios elementos orgánicos), eso se llama «preparar la tierra»
Afterwards, I made a hole about five centimeters deep (the recommended depth for this plant), placed the seeds, covered them and watered the soil with a little water.
Posteriormente, hice un hoyo de unos cinco centímetros de profundidad (lo recomendado para esta planta) coloqué las semillas, las cubrí y regué la tierra con un poco de agua.
One thing to keep in mind with this plant is that it should be watered sparingly, as it's susceptible to water wells and this tends to make it sick and also that it should be exposed to more or less 12 hours of sun a day to have optimal growth (when the buds come out, I will take pictures to document their growth later).
Una cosa que hay que tener en cuenta con esta planta es que se debe regar poco, ya que es susceptible a que se le hagan pozos de agua y esto suele enfermarla y también que debe estar expuesta a más o menos 12 horas de sol al día para que tenga un crecimiento óptimo (cuando salgan los brotes, les iré sacando fotos para documentar su crecimiento luego.)
