What am I?

There is a group of women on Hive. They call themselves "Ladies of Hive." They hold a contest that pays out in Hive each week if you should be lucky enough to win. This week is the 54th week they have been running the same competition. To me, this proves the @LadiesofHive is made up of an extraordinary group of Ladies.

I ended up joining @LadiesOfHive a few months ago after I read a great post by the beautiful @Katrina-Ariel. A person that to this day, I can never spell her name correct on the first try. Don't ask me why. I think she is playing mind games with me if I am honest. I will let you be the judge of that, though.

Katrina also writes and sings songs but hasn't in a long time that I am aware of. Personally, I think she should get her bum in gear and get back to singing my favorite song. Somewhere between her best-selling writing books and raising twin boys, I am very sure she should be able to squeeze in a piece or two a week. Yet, we are all different and have to live with our choices about what is most important in our own lives.

There is only one Katrina-Ariel, and she is very unique. I would suggest getting to know her.

Anyway...

Katrina wrote this really great post answering a Ladies of Hive question of the week. I wanted to answer the same question, so I inquired about the group. Katrina sent me an invite, and I found myself surrounded by names I had seen on Hive from day one. I said, "Hello!" I did not read any rules and went on to write my post.

Each week @TheKittyGirl tags everyone in the Discord server explaining the new contest post has been posted and get your bum over there and read it and then write a post, or she will smack you with a bat with feathers on it.

Some of that might be made up, but not the KittyGirl part. That lady is a one women organizing machine. She can and will find a way to get done what she wants. She is helpful and always full of good cheer. She is a Southern Lady sitting on her veranda with a big brim hat with feathers, perfectly manicured nails, and high heel shoes that match her outfit to a Tee. There is only one KittyGirl, and she is very unique. I would suggest getting to know her.

I read the contest posts each week and looked at both questions. You are asked to answer the one that speaks to you. I love the fact they give you a choice of two questions to choose from. Not all questions hit people the same. Having options is always a great thing.

The weekly contest is also unique in the questions are thought up by a different person in the group each week. The person who makes up the questions is reading all the posts and judging the contest for that week. I love this idea. It keeps everyone in the group active and contributing to the group as a whole. The more people invest in something, the more they will fight to keep it whole. Bravo! Ladies of Hive!

@Saffisara is this week's questioner and judge. She outshined by coming up with two great questions. The questions made my brain start to think. At this time in my life, that is close to a miracle. I owe Saffi a HUGE "Thank You!" for that!

I happen to love thinking, and anything that can make my brain spark is a wondrous thing. Three days later, I am still thinking about her questions and have not forgotten them. This is a testament to how smart Saffi is.

It takes a lot to hold my attention, to begin with. In the last six months, it has taken a miracle to hold my attention for 3 days and another one to make me write a post. Yet knowing Saffi as I do for the last four years, I would not expect anything less. She is brilliant. Much more intelligent than she lets people know. She is deep thinking. Sometimes too deep for her own good.

The kindest gentle soul I have ever met. There is only one Saffi, and she is very unique. I would suggest getting to know her.

This brings us to the question of the week I picked to answer.

Are you a leader person or a follower, and why do you think that is?

It is a great question. It got me thinking a lot. My answer is neither. I do not follow, and if you make me, I will be miserable, and in the end, so will you. I am not a leader, though, either. I hate being put in a leadership position. I have quit well-paying jobs. After all, they put me in charge of a department without asking me because they knew I would say "N. O." Rats, all of them, rats!

If I am not a leader or a follower, then what am I? This question kept niggeling in my brain, and then it came to me...

I am a Put Together-er.

I help people find people they didn't know they needed yet could not find. I might be known to give out advice once and a while too. The advice is usually to help put together a person or a situation causing harm to someone I care deeply for.

But, other than that, I pretty much keep to myself unless I am needed, and then I am only a DM away.

This is my answer to the 54th question of the week for the Ladies of Hive.

Help someone smile today. It can not hurt you.
