OCD Community Boost Contest S2 #1 Winners [Architecture+Design]

Apologies for the delay, but we now have the winners! Special thanks to @storiesoferne and @acidyo for the support in facilitating this contest. It's actually awesome to see how the Architecture & Design Community have grown since its inclusion in the incubation program.

Before the announcement of winners, let's have a look first at how the Architecture+Design has changed in terms of subscribers and engagements.

Before:

Now:

The purpose of the screenshots is to see how the community is doing before the contest and then after the contest. The most notable change in Architecture+Design Community is the increase in the number of subscribers from 1055 to 1128. That's 6.92% increase. While weekly increase in subscribers is natural for communities under the incubation program, the contest definitely helped a little bit in this case. Another is the increase in active users from 83 to 129. That's 55.42% increase! Not bad for the contest of this community! For the weekly interactions, it increased from 497 to 852. That's 71.43% increase in weekly interactions! For the pending payouts, it increased from 798 to 1481. That's 85.59% increase!

Another notable metric is the number of blogs posted in the community within the contest period. For that, the reference would be the comment section of the contest post. Please refer to the link below:

That's 31 posts created within that period of the contest! Not bad for Architecture & Design! The prize pool is shown below:

That means the winners will receive:

1st Place: 35% of the rewards of the contest post = 19.610 HBD + 25.488 HP
2nd Place: 25% of the rewards of the contest post = 14.007 HBD + 18.206 HP

Finally...

Here are the winners:

First Place: @itchyfeetdonica

Architecture+Design Community Contest: World Architecture Day | Machu Picchu in Peru

As one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu is an architectural marvel. I just realized that I haven't blogged about it since I joined this platform 4 years ago. So in this contest by the Architecture+Design Community, I'd like to invite you to visit this remarkable site together with me.

Second Place: @arkicarls

Architecture+Design Community Contest: World Architecture Day | (Museum of Islamic Art, Doha Qatar)

The design of the museum has a noticeable mark of I.M Pei’s design signature, incorporating orthogonal and diagonal lines like how he designed the Louvre Pyramid in Paris and John Kennedy Library (you can check it out). What amazes me is even though it has some similarities with his previous works, he uses a different exterior material finish to match it with the building’s surroundings.

Third Place: @andestethic

Architecture+Design Community Contest: World Architecture Day | The Floating Church Of India (Hassan, Karnataka)

Visiting this oh-so picturesque Gothic style Church was definitely quite an experience for me. As someone who always used to keep gaping at one particular pillar for example as a kid for five minutes straight, I couldn't get enough of this mysterious structure. It looked magnificent from every angle. I fell in love with this glorious and statuesque work of art.

Fourth Place: @txatxy

Architecture+Design Community Contest: World Architecture Day | (The cathedral of football) -La catedral del fútbol Bilbao-Basque Country -Spain

I will tell you a little about the history of this soccer field that we call the cathedral. Athletic Club de Bilbao is a soccer club that does not have foreign players, only players from the Basque Country, that makes us proud and makes us lose many games, but we are not here today to tell those stories. They also call us The Lions

Fifth Place: @charsdesign

Architecture+Design Community Contest: World Architecture Day | THE BRIDGE OVER THE LAKE IN ZULIA STATE, VENEZUELA [ENG-ESP]

In the northwest of Venezuela, in the middle of four states, lies the largest lake in Latin America, Lake Maracaibo. This large body of water kept the state of Zulia practically separated from the rest of the country until 1962. In that year, one of the most important engineering and architectural works of the 20th century in Venezuela was inaugurated, the Bridge over the Lake, the name by which the General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge is commonly known.

Congratulations to all the winners!
