As the weather starts to shift into the chilliness of autumn I can't help but think ahead to the coming winter months.
Though most of the time I choose to be present in the now, my mind will wander backward and forward at random.
Usually something will trigger a memory and zip, off I go.
Passing by Taughannok Park on my way to work I had a flash inside my mind's eye of snow on the ground and the musical sound of a childs laughter.
A specific child in this case, my sweet little niece Nora Bell :) God I love that child... and mama dreemit of course :)
Was it really nine months ago we were here? Time is a racer.
One of the few short stories of Stephen King- My Pretty Pony- does the quickening of time with age justice.
The awesome thing about the hiking trails in my area, every season has its charm.
Whether it's a sunny and green or a white coated world,
there is always magic in nature.
My thoughts are a bit scattered lately.
Oh who am I kidding, that's a fairly normal state for me.
Only when I'm among the trees and away from the many energies of people do I generally find focus.
It's in these places that I can take a deep breath and exhale the myriad worries of the world.
And when I have the company of a small, happy child, my next inhale is one of joy that I hold as long as I can.
If you were lucky enough to have kind and loving guardians then you know what I do-
a time when life was absent of the stress and strain of living, when everything was possibility.
When there were no problems, only questions, and so much energy- that is what I miss the most.
And that is what I capture briefly in these moments.
