This is by Far the biggest road trip we have taken!!!
I know this happened months ago, but I am finally able back to blogging and decided this would be a fun one to revisit and share. We did a 10 day road trip - and drove over 3000 miles!! We had a ton of fun and did something new everyday.
Bad news is I some how lost my log book for the trip that tracked times, miles and gallons of gas bought. Oh well.
Day 1 - Driving to Sandusky Ohio and Lake Erie
We started early, and were on the road by 5am... GPS said we only had 575 miles to drive. The estimated time was just about 9 hours without stops and light traffic. Sounded pretty easy for the first day.

We did stop just outside of Chicago to pick up an EZ Pass for the toll roads. While it took a while to get up and running, but it saved us so much time to just roll through not to mention all the tolls were actually closed. But this way I didn't have to remember them all and find them online to pay.
Kicking off the day.
I think we stopped one more time - but we got to the Sandusky with plenty of time go hit up Lake Erie... We had to hit it since this would make the 4th of the 5 Great Lakes they have been too. We made it in plenty of time and kids had a easy ride the first day they did better than I thought they would. We packed enough food to eat most meals in the truck and avoid eating crappy fast food and sitting in the car for hours.
Not to mention good ol man senstless here sprung for the unlimited wife in the truck so they could watch movies all day long. Kids got to run around, play outside before we hit up the hotel and got some sleep before our longest day on the road....

Too bad we didn't get to go the amusement park, but we just didn't have time to get it all in!
Those are the best photos I can find of the park. We must have used Mrs. Senstless phone to take the rest of the photos I remember taking. Not sure where the ended up...
