My search through my data drive also reminded me of my road trip to the Spiti Valley a couple of years ago. One of my most memorable road trip of all time, well, in this road trip there was a thing that made it special, the thing was that in this road trip, there were no roads!
Apart from that, the elevation ranged from 3000m to 5500m above sea level. And that made this trip more special. This road was also connected to the world's highest moterable road, the 'road' litral is just for sake of defining a way on which we can travel with a vehicle. Yes, you will come to know what I am talking about after seeing the photographs below.
This was the road on which we drove our 4x4 vehicle. We had to cross water streams, road with huge rocks and various other kind of obstacles.
One thing you will surely notice is these colourful flags in this dull and dry region of high Himalayas. These are Buddhist prayer flags, the chants and Mantras are written over them and it is believed that with wind these Mantras are emitted to the atmosphere, making it peaceful. And yes, I experienced that peacefulness here.
With Mulkila peak (6,517m) in background, our camps were situated in a heavenly place depicted by the picture below.
After spending night in the camp, next day we headed towards higher regions of the mountains.
The view from there was out of the world. Photographs below can only show a glimpse of the view I'm talking about. There was no vegetation in the whole region. It was a damn cold desert with only three colours, that were, white of snow and clouds, blue of sky and greyish brown of the barren land.
It was a very memorable trip for me. I witnessed some the best views of my life in this trip. This post was my effort to share some glimpses of my journey with you people and I hope you folks will like this.
