UNA BANDADA DE LOROS BUSCANDO ALIMENTO//A FLOCK OF PARROTS SEARCHING FOR FOOD

Today I will share in my HIVE blog, the images that I managed to capture with my cell phone, yesterday October 19 I was absent, since I had to comply with my 24 hour guard, if you have had the opportunity to read some of my publications you will have learned that I work in a gas plant, somewhat distant from the town, which is why I lose the connection from my cell phone and the internet at work is limited, I can only open some websites, social pages are blocked.

As I was making my afternoon tour, just as the sun began to set, I was surprised by a flock of parrots, or cotorros, those green birds, which have the gift of learning a few words, repeating what they are taught.

It is very unusual to see flocks of parrots in this area, due to the noise caused by the gas flare, where the excess gas comes out to be flared. Since for operational reasons the plant is totally out of service, all the gas we receive from the oil exploitation is being flared. This is why the birds stay away from this area, because the noise is somewhat loud, in addition to the heat produced by the flaring.

Within the facility there are some grape plants, which is perhaps the main reason for the sudden visit of these birds. These flocks are usually looking for food and a pleasant place to rest during the night. It was impossible for these birds to go unnoticed, as they are usually very noisy.

As they flew from one tree to another, I noticed that most of these birds usually fly in pairs and few are left alone. For a moment my sight was focused on a couple that flew away from the flock, I could not tell you if they returned, because I lost visual contact. The truth is that many of these parrots were left sleeping on the branches of these trees.
