Hello friends @steemiteducation, the education of our children is fundamental for us as parents and that is why we always have to look for the best teaching tools that help us transmit knowledge in a practical and fun way. The experiments at home are a very valuable tool that we have to take advantage of, they offer us infinite possibilities that we must use to teach.

Today we will make a very fun experiment for the little ones, it is Magic with colors, we will see how when mixing two liquids the color is altered and disappears!

Procedures:

  • We put some of the mouthwash liquid in a glass and then add some bleach. We see that with a little bleach the mixture becomes colorless in a few minutes.
  • Children will be fascinated to see the change of color they will love to show their friends as it looks like a magic trick.

Note: Warning: bleach is dangerous to health, should be kept out of reach of children, and contact with the skin will be avoided. So this experiment is important to be performed under the supervision of an adult!

After a few minutes this is the final result !! Waoooo the rinse lost its color!

What happened?

Mouthwash fluids are used after brushing the teeth to maintain oral hygiene. They may contain water, alcohol, fluoride, menthol, chlorhexidine, etc.

Bleach is a solution of sodium hypochlorite in water that is usually used at home for cleaning and disinfection. Sodium hypochlorite is a strong oxidant that destroys or alters colors so it can be used as a bleach.

When the two are mixed, the bleach causes the mouth rinse to lose all its color.

Children love to do experiments. With them, while having fun, they learnand ask questions about the world around them. Among its many benefits, scientific exploration feeds the child's natural curiosity, fosters his interest in science, stimulates reasoning and logic, improves his ability to solve problems, increases his self-esteem and prepares them to understand more complicated scientific concepts in the future. To enjoy science is not necessary to have a laboratory, you will be surprised by the amount of experiments that can be done with some home materials. So do not wait any longer, get to work and have fun with your children or students.I hope that this article has been of your interest and help, and I hope you in my next publication!Regards!!!
