As indicated in my recent Play2Earn Report, these last 2 weeks have been pretty bad for Splinterlands and my crypto hustle in general. It finally feels like we are moving towards Summer around here, lockdown is more or less over and I'm fully vaccinated by now. All these things together made me spend a lot of time outside and a lot less time in front of my computer. While I neglected most things crypto, I still managed to do most of my daily quests during that time and even did a nice last minute push yesterday evening to position myself for a top 50 spot. In the end, it was closer than what I expected but I made it to rank #48 nevertheless. I'm really happy with that result as it seemed like it was almost impossible to get there during the week but these two hours spent playing really payed off in the end.

|Highest Rated Win vs||@jacekw (4731)|
I'm super happy with my ranked ratio especially. A win/loss ratio of 1.54 is one of the best I've had so far and it serves to show that playing more isn't always better. By only doing a couple of matches most days I was more focused and payed closer attention to both the rule set and who I was actually facing. I've even sneaked in a win against jacekw which always feels special... even if it was the old Hydra+Llama combo that got the better of him.
I'm not sure yet how long this whole "going out again"-euphoria is going to last, so I don't want to set any goals for next season other than making it to the top 50 again. Nevertheless, I'd love to get back to Champion I as well, so let's see if I have time for that.
Top 10 Summoner Usage
|Summoner||Frequency||Teams Fielded||Win Rate|
|Scarred Llama Mage||71||16.82%||50.70%|
No big surprise for the most used summoner, Yodin Zaku is still king although his win rate is getting a little lower every season. People are better at countering him and they are better at predicting when they are going to face him. Almost 60% is still good, but it could be better. For example by using Mylor Crowling or Owster Rotwell. Holy moly, a 72.5% win rate is pretty damn good. He's such a beast in the right rule set and combined with the Llama Mage I, was able to surprise my enemies more often than not, fielding either one when they expected to face and thus counter the other one.
Both of my dragon summoners are below 50%, though, and I feel like I need to improve on that front. I still miss some of the key dragon legendaries, so maybe it's time to get some of these cards while they are still available. Zintar Mortalis wasn't played very often and when I used him, he lost most of the time. I'll have to figure that one out as well, I don't think he's as bad as I make him look.
Top 100 Monster Usage
|Monster||Frequency||Teams Fielded||Win Rate|
|Angel of Light||19||4.50%||68.42%|
|Lord of Darkness||17||4.03%||52.94%|
|Lord of Fire||7||1.66%||42.86%|
|Warrior of Peace||6||1.42%||83.33%|
|Kron the Undying||2||0.47%||0.00%|
Not too many big insights for me here. Yes, I do love my Spark Pixies, they go in 98% of all fire decks where they are eligible. The Tower Griffin is such an amazing card as well, I'd say it's one of the most underrated rares from the whole Untamed set, selling for a mere 0.09$ right now. He's a bomb in Yodin Zaku, but he's also great with many other builds, especially in Little League or No Magic rule sets. The Khmer Princess + Wood Nymph + Failed Summoner combo is another gang I really like to play. These 3 cards work so well together, making them pretty hard to kill and in low mana matches it's sometimes next to impossible to get through the Failed Summoner.
Win Rate by Ruleset
|Rise of the Commons||33||54.55%|
|Back to Basics||29||58.62%|
|Fog of War||23||56.52%|
|Keep Your Distance||22||50.00%|
|Odd Ones Out||18||55.56%|
|Up Close & Personal||18||55.56%|
I'm a bit shocked to see Noxious Fumes as bad as it is right there, I certainly have to look into that as it used to be one of the rule sets I really enjoyed and I was utterly unaware of how bad I had been performing in it recently. On the other hand, I'm really proud of that 75% win rate in Little League as I feel like I've gotten really good in predicting these matches and picking the right cards for the job. I've also gotten a lot better at Silenced Summoners which I take as confirmation that I'm actually getting better at the game and not only rely on my OP summoners to win me my matches.

Ya, no... I've registered for some tournaments but missed way to many of these games as I simply preferred to spend my time doing something else. This will have to change, I'm just not sure if I'll make that happen right now.

Another really decent season in terms of rewards, ~41,000 DEC is quite good and close to what I had last season. Since I only found a single Legendary card this season this is a really good result. I had no luck with gold foils either, only getting a few of these this season.
This whole season really served to show where my priorities in terms of crypto gaming are at the moment: It's Splinterlands all the way. Once eXode launches into colonization this is going to change slightly as I'll then be focusing on two games at the same time but other than that, there's nothing coming even close to these titles. Splinterlands has become my go to game whenever I have a few minutes to kill and I just love it for everything it is. With SPS around the corner as well, things are only getting better and better!
And that's all from me for today, thank you all for reading and see you next time!
