Season statistics

Since the extreme growth of Splinterlands and the changes in the ecosystem with increased DEC price and daily airdrops, many people are wondering how much you can earn in Splinterlands. We want to use our data we collect to give new players an idea of how profitable the game can be and everyone else intersted an idea of what rewards can be expected in Splinterlands.

We will continue to report our data on this blog for each season to come.

Below you can see the raw data that is used for this post.

disclaimers

  1. The rental costs is only including rentals that have been payed with credits. It is possible that some of our players have rented additionally using DEC. If this is the case, the needed money for rentals varies from our data. However, everytime a hero of our foundation rents cards with DEC, this sum is substracted from his DEC earned pool because we just calculate the difference on the account from season start to end. We are working on a system to get better data here next season.

  2. Our data, especially for champion, is very slim. We do not advice anyone to base his decisions on this data, especially since the fluctuating of DEC and the low amount of players we had might give missleading ideas about possible returns. With more seasons and players to come our data will get more reliable. However we feel confident to discuss our silver, gold and diamond results.

In the last season our foundation hat 33 accounts that have been activly playing for more then 10 days. Currently we manage 45 accounts but 26% of these have started to operate in the last days of the season so we are not going to include them here.

Evaluation

57% of our heros finished the season in silver
24% finished in gold
15% finished in diamond
3% finished in champion

It is intersting to see that the amount of battles that had to be played on average increase with higher leagues but neither the time played per day nor the winrate seem to have any impact on the season end rank.

The correlation between a higher rank and a lower amount of hours plays is astonishing. It is not about he time you spend but the skill you use.

Taking champion out of the equation, gold league has the best ROI (net profit / rental costs). However looking at the average hours played per day and the net profit, diamond comes at 1.31$ in rewards per hour played and gold comes at 1.18$ in rewards per hour played.

We will need more seasons and more data to make a final say on what league is better but these give a good indication.

Support what we do

Judging from the feedback we get from our members, our work helps people to understand the opportunities in Splinterlands and provides them with valuable guidiance. Since the Splinterlands Discord has changed over the last weeks with the increase of the playerbase we think that providing a home to those players and giving them support is a great way to support a heatlhy community for the game.

However in order to operate our project we need to invest money and time, currently we have 1,000$ worth of credits on our starter accounts for the upcoming season end need to invest more for additionally spellbooks and more credits.

In order to finance this project we take a 50% profit share from the Heros that play in our foundation. The team gets to keep 10% of the earnings and 40% are used to operate and grow our project.

We would love to decrease the fee we take from our players but are unable to grow the project at the same time. If you want to support us please feel free to reach out to our community manager Ace, aceofhearts#5034 on discord.

Our team consists of 3 people caring for 45 players, alone the payouts of the last season and the data collection took us 8 hours of work. If you are a developer and you want to help us to automate some of our process to safe us work and enable us to onbord more players, please reach out to Thomas, Thezorro#3160 on Discord.

Thank you for your time
