Hello friends from Needle Work Monday ❤️! Happy start to the week everyone, I hope you are very well today 😃. Luckily around here the typical storm at the end of August has already passed and now days of better weather are coming. It is time to wait for spring, there are only a few days ahead. Meanwhile, I continue to take advantage of my free time to continue with some of the sewing projects that I have in my bag of "sewing projects that I will finish one day" 😂.
¡Hola amigos de Needle Work Monday ❤️! Feliz inicio de semana para todos, espero que se encuentren muy bien hoy 😃. Por suerte por aquí la tormenta típica de fin de Agosto ya ha pasado y ahora se vienen días de mejor clima. Es tiempo de esperar la primavera, ya quedan pocos días por delante. Mientras tanto, sigo aprovechando mi tiempo libre para continuar con alguno de los proyectos de costura que tengo en mi bolsa de "proyectos de costura que algún día terminaré" 😂.
The truth is that my selection of projects to finish is based on my real need for underwear: well, as you have seen lately I have several lace outfits but few cotton ones for daily use, so I decided to make one of these. It's kinda funny that you all see my real underwear, but hey, it's my job to show you how I do it 😂.
La verdad es que mi selección de proyectos a terminar se basa en mi necesidad real de ropa interior: bueno, como han visto ultimamente tengo varios conjuntos de encaje pero pocos de algodón para uso diario, por lo que decidí hacerme uno de estos. Es un poco gracioso que todos ustedes vean mi ropa interior real, pero bueno, es mi trabajo mostrarles cómo la hago 😂.
I cut the pieces for this bodice quite some time ago, over six months for sure (amazing that so much has happened). I remember it because they are from the mold that I bought online. Currently I no longer buy molds, I try to draw them because with these online molds you do not know if they are going to fit you or not. Anyway I liked that it's only two parts.
Las piezas para este corpiño las corté hace bastante tiempo, más de seis meses seguro (increíble que haya pasado tanto). Lo recuerdo porque son del molde que compré online. Actualmente ya no compro más moldes, intento dibujarlos yo porque con estos moldes en línea no sabes si te van a entrar o no. De todos modos me gustó que solo sean dos partes.
This fabric was a few small scraps from my big patchwork bag. The good thing about it is that it is thick, so I was able to use the simplest stretch technique of all: supported elastic. You just have to sew once with a zigzag stitch and that's it ❤️.
Esta tela eran unos pequeños retazos de mi gran bolsa de retazos. Lo bueno que tiene es que es gruesa, por lo que pude usar la técnica de elastizado más sencilla de todas: la del elástico apoyado. Simplemente hay que coser una vez con puntada zigzag y eso es todo ❤️.
After putting the elastic around all the edges, it was time to put the cups together. There are those who do this at the same time that they sew the elastic below, but I prefer to take my time and join it first 😅.
Luego de poner el elástico en todos los bordes, fue momento de unir las tazas. Hay quienes hacen esto al mismo tiempo que cosen el elástico de abajo, pero yo prefiero tomarme mi tiempo y unirlo antes 😅.
To place the elastic under the bust, I measured the contour of my body and that was the measurement I used. Now I use a 1.5cm elastic in my bodices: this slightly thicker elastic allows a better support ❤️.
Para colocar el elástico bajo busto, medí el contorno de mi cuerpo y esa fue la medida que utilicé. Ahora uso un elástico de 1,5cm en mis corpiños: este elástico un poco más grueso permite una sujección mejor ❤️.
Finally, we have to place the straps and the back clasp. My favorite slides are the heart-shaped ones, so I try to use them whenever I can (plus, I have hundreds of them) 😂.
Por último, nos queda colocar los breteles y el broche de la espalda. Mis correderas favoritas son las con forma de corazón, por lo que intento usarlas siempre que puedo (además, tengo cientos de ellas) 😂.

I must say that even though it was a purchased mold, the size fit me well. After all, my bust size isn't that big 😂. But I could have stayed small and it was not like that. When I work with thick fabrics and I can use the supported elastic technique it is a pleasure to make the garments. In addition to being quick and easy to sew, the result is good as all the full elastic is appreciated. Now I have to think about what my next project will be to finish, surely a pantyhose for daily use because I also have few 😂.
Debo decir que a pesar de que era un molde comprado, el talle me quedó bien. Después de todo, mi talle de busto no es tan grande 😂. Pero me podría haber quedado pequeño y no fue así. Cuando trabajo con telas gruesas y puedo utilizar la técnica del elástico apoyado es todo un placer hacer las prendas. Además de ser fáciles y rápidas para coser, el resultado es bueno ya que se aprecia todo el elástico completo. Ahora tengo que pensar cuál será mi próximo proyecto a terminar, seguramente una panty de uso diario porque también tengo pocas 😂.
