Anyhoo, so a few weeks back when the crypto market was going bonkers, I was going bonkers too! That’s right, going bonkers for buying metal! On one of my trades, I paid a metal bill of $1,521 with 3.65 LTC. Yesterday, I bought 3.65 LTC for $610
BOOM!
And then in the last few days, I have been selling metal, and scooping cryptos… once again my stack was there for me! Anyway, I digress…
Back a couple weeks ago I figured it was time to ring up my pal @silverd510 — I knew if anybody could, he was the pro that could get ‘er done. We cut the deal and both of us got to work. I’ll note here that part of the offer I made to d510 was: irrefusable, and as I called it then, a “dividend” on one of the chests he made for me a couple years back. You see, a few of us around here like to play a game called “one up the other guy” — it’s actually pretty hilarious, and fairly loose. Like, for example, it was my turn to get back d510 with something, and I am sure that @dfinney will get something — eventually 😳😜🤣 — for a ridiculously over top gift she hand delivered to me a while back. But as I said, it’s loose, we’re all friends, and sometimes it’s just the right time! So yadda, yadda, what I was expecting from @silverd510 was:

Well, good ol’ d510 wasn’t just gonna’ send what he said, Lofl! He is afterall a notorious asskicker. And like him, I too enjoy a great bit of shiny with a ship motif. So open yer barnacles and pull in some krill!

These rounds are deadly indeed! I will have to inspect them closer with loupe and gloves at some point. But a’har! These be not the shiny coins I was looking for! What I was looking for was a graded Peace Dollar and a 2008 Kookaburra. So stand fast! And brace your barnacles for the main event.

So now about that 2008 Kookaburrah… I have wanted one since I first saw it — about a year after I bought my first kook. I had only ever seen one on line before today, and had read that the 2008 was the White Elephant every collector wanted. So along with the PD I asked d510 if he could find one for me as part of our bargoon. Savvy?
Today, after I picked up the parcel, Mrs. D was driving, and I was opening up the loot, and I guess I had kinda forgotten about the 2008… the first few ship coins came out and I was like: “oooh Ahhhh…”kinda’ hamming it up for Mrs. D’s delight. But then the kook came out and I must admit: I squeeled like a little cabin boy!!!

Like, literally squeeled so much that my wife kinda’ gave me a side-eye to see if I was okay. Holy Wow! This is deffo a bucket list piece for me, and honestly, I can’t think of any regular single 1 ounce Silver Coin that could make me more excited. So thanks again D!

Total badassery @silverd510 — Kudos to you! I am rarely so pleasantly surprised, and you really got me good! The loot is all safely stored aboard The Ingot and the anchor has a fast hold. T’is calm and serene, the waves are lapping the gunnels, the crew be having their grog and counting their share, and there not be a worry a’tall in this drunk pirate’s mind, nor enemy in his scope.
