Bird, Bird, Bird is the Word!

Hi my kooky friends!

Well I’ve had a couple of busy days out here on the Westcoast. I’ll get to that in a minute, but first let me show you the sweety-pie coin I picked up a few days ago. It is a 10oz Kookaburra from 2000. Now I can’t know what this was pucrchased for, but back in 2000 gold was about $300 usd per ounce. By my figuring, that means this coin Probo sold for about $75!

And yeah… QE II is on the obverse. Anyway, though I am not a huge fan of coins larger than 2 ounces I couldn’t pass this one up as it was sold for generic price. Moreover, I am a big fan of Kookaburras so this one was a no brainer.

In other news, what about that freaking massive dump in the crypto market? Aye Yi Yi!!! I managed to take the hits pretty good, and found myself happily prepared with some dry powder and a good estimate of where the bottoms was. Of course no one can know what bitcoin is gonna’ do, but it sure seems like the broader crypto market follows the king. And this, it sure seems like a good idea to have some fresh dollaz waiting in the wings for these events. If you haven’t already, I would suggest that you investigate stable coins. It is a great way to hold “fiat” digitally for when the market craps out. Seriously, check it out!

And now, onto the excursion into the widsespread adoption of crypto!

Yesterday, me and one of our crew headed out of Vancouver over to Victoria on Vancouver Island. Here’s some scenery:

Such an awesome 90 minute trip! It’s like a mini cruise through gorgeous scenery — on a bus! Lofl — but it is very beautiful. Anyway we got to the location and got to work. I hauled out my tools, and lo and behold, what do I find? A sweet ball point pen that @fat-elvis sent out to me.

And here’s the finished product: a BATM 2 (one way) bitcoin ATM — mounted right next to a bank machine and a Keno box — woo hoo!!!

After the install we went for “proof of Steak-sandwich” (a running Bitcoiniacs joke) and then headed back to the city.
