I had a couple of free hours the other day, so I made a quick trip into the local mountains to get more familiar with the metal detector I recently purchased.
There was a remote chance I could find gold (which is what I was after) but not the best location, so I didn't have too high of hopes. I spent the time finding bullets and shell casings instead of gold, lol:
Had a good time wandering around a bit, and brought a gold nugget with me to test it in different grounds as well, so I still had a good time and the goal of getting more familiar with the metal detector was accomplished.
