Share Our World: Road trip: Day 4- Brigham City and Logan, Utah

We started the day with an early morning shoot of the Box Elder Tabernacle and Brigham City Temple. They are conveniently located across the street from each other.

Box Elder Tabernacle
This beautiful building was built by the Mormon Pioneers in 1897 and seat approximately 1600 people. It is used as a meeting house for church members and sometime concerts and other events. 1

We were there just before Christmas and they had a nice nativity next to the tabernacle.

Brigham City Temple
Across the street from the tabernacle is the beautiful Brigham City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was dedicated in 2012 by Boyd K. Packer who grew up in Brigham City, Utah. 2

It also had a lovely all white nativity.

The land on the way to Logan.

I had a nice walk around Utah State University.
It was established in 1888 and has around 27,000 students. They are known as the Aggies. 3

Interestingly I lived and went to school in Utah for 4 years and this is my first time visiting Utah State.

Then we visited the Logan Temple. @jarvie is a temple photographer so we went to every temple en route. I will make a special post of all the temples we saw on the road trip.

Logan Temple
It was originally dedicated in 1884 and rededicated in 1979. It was the second temple built in Utah. 4

My oldest brother was married in this temple.

It was so great to see a part of Utah that I had never been to and hear so much about.
