Limburg bicycle tour (57 km)

Dear Hivers,

This sunday my girlfriend and I picked a bicycle tour through Limburg. Only problem is that this takes 90 minutes drive to get there.

The tour was on the left and right side of the river Maas and we had to cross it twice with a ferry. These are always fun. They run all day long and cost 1 eur per bicycle.

Here you see the second ferry arrive before we got aboard.

The right side of the Maas is a National Park ("Maasdunes") with woods, sanddunes and those purple bushes called "Hei" in Dutch.

Here we have a rest in the wood.

The last pictures are from a bicycle bridge through the War Museum. It is for free for biclyclists. You just ride into the building for free. Crazy and unexpected. USA vehcicles and tanks plenty there. All left behind after WO II Arnhem region Operation market Garden and alike

Did you enjoy your weekend as much as we did ?
