This actually happened a few weeks ago but the photos were not released until recently.
For those of you that are unfamiliar with Bunny Hashes it is the all women Hash events that as of late, men have been allowed to attend but only with certain demeaning restrictions.
Anyone who would try to suggest that the ladies are not as good as the men are at setting trails would be extremely wrong. Their trail choices are just as difficult (or easy, depending on your perspective) as the men's trails and this particular one was around 7km long.
It was a nice mix of marked and unmarked trail, with almost zero street being part of the equation, which is kind of the idea behind any non urban Hash trail. We didn't have a massive turnout, and this is once again, expected because of the severely diminished amount of people that are in the country who are part of our kennel. More than half of our members are trapped outside of Thailand without any chance to get back in thanks to coronavirus. Only the super-wealthy are being allowed back in right now and when I say that I mean that you have to pay thousands of dollars for self-quarantine for 14 days if you want in. Then of course there are the usual visa hurdles.
The good news for those of us that are "trapped" inside is that there seems to be a perpetual visa amnesty and that is a load off our minds since that for most of us, this is the number one worry in our lives.
Anyway, back to the Bunny Hash
Men have been allowed to participate on a temporary basis but only if they agree to wearing silly headdress and skirts. These are all provided and since everyone looks like a jagoff, nobody does.
Some members are picked on more than others and this is to be expected because we are a silly bunch and no one minds at all. It is all in the name of good fun afterall anyway.
In other parts of the world the "Bunny Hash" is referred to as the "P**sy Hash" but we decided to be a bit less crude here. That and the fact that there is nothing "easier" about any of the trails that these ladies set. They are just as passionate about the Hash House Harriers as any of the men are.
A great time was had by all, plenty of beers were drank and we all got a bit of exercise, which is what the plan was from the start.
