Programming - Java GUI Examples

    As promised this time I will show you some example GUI's using everything that we talked about! I will start out with an simple Calculator, then I will do an Menu and lastly I will make a simple Game where you have to find which Button is the winning one. So, without further do. Let's get started!


Code 1 (Calculator):

    I will create a GUI that let's you add, substract, multiply and divide 2 numbers. The 2 numbers will be double's and we will have two TextFields for the Number Input, 4 Buttons for each calculation and some Labels, where one will be for displaying the Answer or Error (we will surround our Code with a try-catch statement).

Code 2 (Menu):

    Next Code will be a Switch Case like Menu that let's us do different kinds of stuff on an ArrayList of Integers. We will be able to fill list with random numbers,  add specific number to list, search for a number in list, print the list and exit the programm (we will be able to do it using X again tho).

Code 3 (Game):

    We will have a 3x3 sized grid of tiles and one of those tiles/buttons will be defined as the winning one. To do this we will set the names of the buttons to be 0 and one Tile will be selected at random and get the name 1. We will start with 9 points and white buttons. The pressed ones will turn red if they are not the wining tile and our points will decrease by 1.
