I think that one of the greatest phenomena of Japanese animation as such today is Jojo's, I think that at this point there is no one who follows this medium and does not know it. It may be because it has been recommended to you, you have seen memes or clips online, and it is normal that you are curious to know what this famous series is about. I'm going to talk specifically about the first part, that is, the first season, which together with the second are the ones that put us in context to follow the rest of the series and get used to its characteristic style.
The first season of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure adapts the first two sagas of the manga, and that the two take place in different times. I must say that each part of Jojo's has a time jump, and obviously different protagonists. Another thing that I have to highlight is the large number of years it is, although the animation that most see was issued in 2012, in fact it is a manga from the 80s, and that was side by side with Dragon Ball and Saint Seiya.
Synopsis
The story of the first part of this season begins with the origins of the protagonist's family, the Joestar family where, due to a moral debt, the father of the family adopts the son of a bandit who saved his life. This boy's name is Dio Brando. Even with how young he is, this boy is very clever and tries to take advantage of the family for his plans. The heir of the family and our protagonist, Jonathan Joestar, learns of Dio's intentions and tries to unmask him, failing in the attempt. After a time Dio obtains a supernatural power, which comes from a treasure that the same family kept, and that they themselves were unaware of his power. It is Jonathan's responsibility to stop his "brother" before he ends the world.
The second part follows the timeline and sets us years later with a new protagonist, Joseph Joestar, and I take the opportunity to emphasize that this series in its seasons will put us protagonists from exactly the same family. Joseph will be involved with supernatural events like his predecessor, along with the secrets of the mysterious evil treasure that the Joestar family was hiding.
Some may be bothered that the protagonists are always from the same background, but I believe rather that he gives his own identity to Jojo's. Anyway, there is nothing to worry about, because each one is unique and his personalities are usually very diverse as well. Jonathan has an incredible sense of justice and kindness. While Joseph is a somewhat more daring character, without being in the shadow of Jonathan as the protagonist. It seems to me that both characters are very good, despite how different they are, they have somewhat similar ideals if we stop to think about it a bit.
Obviously, a series of this genre is going to have villains who are up to the task, right? Well the truth is inevitable that when we talk about Jojo's, we do not talk about Dio. This character is undoubtedly one of the most famous and charismatic antagonists in this industry, despite the fact that the author himself does not like him, a curious fact.
In part 2 as I said, it is another story, and other villains appear who will try to make life impossible for our protagonists. These villains are the ones who will be in charge of explaining the natural origins that occur. Other characters will also appear that will support the protagonists.
This adaptation in fact is not the first that is made of Jojos, in fact in the past there have been adaptations and games of this. For example there are OVAs and movies, but the truth is that they are unsuccessful attempts to animate this work, easily anyone thinks that the only time Jojo's was animated is with the adaptation I'm talking about and its subsequent seasons.
It was in 2012 when they deigned to give Jojo's a faithful adaptation and made as they should in the beginning. David Production was the studio in charge of this, and they knew how to give a great touch to one of the manga with the most striking and strong art. They knew how to adapt the impact that the original author gave to his work with dazzling colors and poses.
The soundtrack actually seems very good to me. The Openings and Endings are very characteristic and remembered among the fans, the truth is an achievement in this sense as well.
Jojo's has that vibe that a good battle between good and evil can give you. Jojo's is not a series that has a great plot depth, it is a series with which you simply have to let yourself go. Each Jojo's battle is rare and unique in its own way, the situations that the characters are presented with are so strange to both themselves and the viewer.
I recommend it, it is difficult to see it at first, because it is very strange, but with time you get used to it and it becomes very fun to watch. It brings together all the archetypes of shonen and makes it something unique. I think that the people who could enjoy this series the most are the fans of the genre, but if you get a taste of it, practically anyone can see it and enjoy it.

Pienso que uno de los fenómenos más grandes de la animación japonesa como tal en la actualidad es Jojo's, creo que a estas alturas no hay nadie que siga este medio y no lo conozca. Puede ser porque te lo hayan recomendado, hayas visto memes o clips por internet, y lo normal es que te dé curiosidad saber de que se trata esta serie tan famosa. Voy a hablar en específico de la primera parte, es decir la primera temporada, que junto con la segunda son las que nos ponen en contexto para seguir el resto de la serie y acostumbrarnos a su estilo tan característico.
La primera temporada de Jojo's Bizarre Adventure adapta las dos primeras sagas del manga, y que las dos se desarrollan en épocas diferentes. Debo de decir que cada parte de Jojo's tiene un salto temporal, y evidentemente diferentes protagonistas. Otra cosa que tengo que destacar es la gran cantidad de años que tiene, aunque la animación que la mayoría ve fue emitida en 2012, de hecho es un manga de los 80, y que estuvo codo a codo con Dragon Ball y Saint Seiya en su tiempo.
Sinopsis
La historia de la primera parte de esta temporada comienza con los origenes de la familia del protagonista, la familia Joestar donde, por culpa de una deuda moral, el padre de la familia adopta al hijo de un bandido que salvó su vida. El nombre de este chico es Dio Brando. Aún con lo joven que es, este chico es muy astuto e intenta aprovecharse de la familia para sus planes. El heredero de la familia y nuestro protagonista, Jonathan Joestar, se entera de las intenciones de Dio e intenta desenmascararlo, fallando en el intento. Después de un tiempo Dio obtiene un poder sobrenatural, que proviene de un tesoro que guardaba la misma familia, y que ellos mismos desconocían su poder. Es la responsibilidad de Jonathan detener a su "hermano" antes de que acabe con el mundo.
La segunda parte sigue la línea de tiempo y nos ambienta años después con un nuevo protagonista, Joseph Joestar, y aprovecho para recalcar que esta serie en sus temporadas nos irá poniendo protagonistas de exactamente la misma familia. Joseph se verá involucrado con eventos sobrenaturales como su predecesor, junto con los secretos del misterioso tesoro maligno que ocultaba la familia Joestar.
A algunos les puede molestar que los protagonistas sean siempre de la misma procedencia, pero yo creo más bien que le da su propia identidad a Jojo's. De todos modos no hay nada de lo que preocuparse, porque cada uno es único y sus personalidades suelen ser muy diversas también. Jonathan cuenta con un increíble sentido de la justicia y bondad. Mientras que Joseph es un personaje algo más atrevido, sin quedar en la sombra de Jonathan como protagonista. A mí me parece que ambos personajes son muy buenos, a pesar de lo diferentes que son, tienen ideales algo similares si nos paramos a pensarlo un poco.
Obvio que una serie de este género va a tener protagonistas que estén a la altura no?. Pues la verdad es inevitable que cuando hablemos de Jojo's, no hablemos de Dio. Este personaje es sin duda uno de los antagonistas más famosos y carismáticos de esta industria, a pesar de que al mismo autor no le guste, dato curioso.
En la parte 2 como dije, es otra historia, y aparecen otros villanos que intentarán hacerle imposible la vida a nuestros protagonistas. Estos villanos son los que se encargarán de darle explicación a los orígenes naturales que ocurren. También aparecerán otros personajes que apoyarán al protagonistas.
Esta adaptación de hecho no es la primera que se hace de Jojos, de hecho en el pasado han existido adaptaciones y juegos de este. Por ejemplo hay OVAs y películas, pero la verdad es que son intentos fallidos por animar esta obra, facilmente cualquiera piensa que la única vez que Jojo's fue animada es con la adaptación de la que hablo y sus posteriores temporadas.
Fue en 2012 cuando se dignaron a darle a Jojo's una adaptación fiel y hecha como debían de hacerlo en un principio. David Production fue el estudio encargado de esto, y supieron darle un gran toque a uno de los mangas con el arte más llamativo y fuerte. Supieron adaptar el impacto que dio el autor original a su obra con colores y poses deslumbrantes.
La banda sonora de hecho me parece muy buena. Los Openings y Endings son muy característicos y recordados entre la fanáticada, la verdad es todo un logro en este sentido también.
Jojo's tiene ese ambiente que una buena batalla entre el bien y el mal te puede dar. Jojo's no es una serie que tenga una gran profundidad argumental, es una serie con la que simplemente te tienes que dejar llevar. Cada batalla de Jojo's es rara y única a su manera, las situaciones que le presentan a los personajes son tan extrañas tanto para ellos mismos como para el espectador.
Yo la recomiendo, es difícil verlo al principio, porque resulta muy raro, pero con el tiempo te acostumbras y se vuelve muy divertida de ver. Reúne todos los arquetipos del shonen y lo convierte en algo único. Yo creo que la gente que más podría disfrutar de esta serie son los fanáticos del género, pero si le agarras el gusto, prácticamente cualquiera puede verla y disfrutarla.
