Greetings dear dear hives and friends of #dailyblog. Today I meet you once again because I feel inspired to share with you the chronicle of my day. A calm Saturday dawned, without the pressure of overwhelming pending tasks, which gave me the opportunity to plan a different day. My only obligation was to deliver a spreadsheet to the accountant, an errand I anticipated to be short and simple. However, the destination was beyond the limits of my locality, which motivated me to leave early and thus have the rest of the day for other activities. Among them, we had the desire to take our son to taste some unique strawberries with cream, prepared with care in La Asuncion.
We set off for the city and, once there, I fulfilled my professional commitment in an efficient manner. The accountant, suffering from a cold, was waiting for me. In these times of health uncertainty, I did not hesitate to take the necessary precautions. I handed her the invoice and then set out to do another job.

Amaneció un sábado tranquilo, sin la presión de tareas pendientes abrumadoras, lo que me brindó la oportunidad de planificar un día diferente. Mi única obligación era entregar una planilla a la contadora, una diligencia que anticipaba breve y sencilla. Sin embargo, el destino estaba más allá de los límites de mi localidad, lo que me motivó a salir temprano y así disponer del resto del día para otras actividades. Entre ellas, teníamos el anhelo de llevar a nuestro hijo a degustar unas fresas con crema únicas en su estilo, preparadas con esmero en La Asunción.
Nos pusimos en marcha hacia la ciudad y, una vez allí, cumplí con mi compromiso profesional de manera eficiente. La contadora, afectada por un resfriado, me esperaba. En estos tiempos de incertidumbre sanitaria, no dudé en tomar las precauciones necesarias. Le entregué la factura y, acto seguido, me dispuse a realizar otra gestión.
Before leaving the urban bustle behind, I made a stop to purchase some indispensable items. We continued our tour in search of specific iron hinges, necessary to reinforce the security of our home. At the GH-Isla store, we were informed that the exact size we required would be available next week. Although this meant waiting, the kindness and honesty of the salesman made the wait more bearable.
Antes de dejar atrás el bullicio urbano, hice una parada para adquirir algunos artículos indispensables. Continuamos nuestro recorrido en busca de unas bisagras de hierro específicas, necesarias para reforzar la seguridad de nuestro hogar. En el establecimiento GH-Isla, nos informaron que la medida exacta que requeríamos estaría disponible la semana entrante. Aunque esto significaba esperar, la amabilidad y honestidad del vendedor hicieron la espera más llevadera.
We also made an inquiry at a glass and aluminum specialty store, but unfortunately, they were unable to assist us in our search.
También hicimos una consulta en una tienda especializada en vidrios y aluminio, pero lamentablemente, no pudieron asistirnos en nuestra búsqueda.
The midday heat was beginning to be suffocating, so we decided to return home. We waited patiently for the sun to begin its descent to fulfill the promise made to our son. The place chosen for the tasting of strawberries with cream was a cozy corner, attended by a couple from Merida. They, with their hospitality and culinary skills, offered us supremely delicious strawberries and cream. My son's joy was palpable, so much so that he decided to immortalize the moment with a photograph next to the establishment's sign, as a sign of gratitude for such an exquisite delicacy.
El calor del mediodía comenzaba a ser sofocante, por lo que decidimos emprender el regreso a nuestro hogar. Aguardamos pacientemente a que el sol iniciara su descenso para cumplir con la promesa hecha a nuestro hijo. El lugar elegido para la degustación de las fresas con crema era un rincón acogedor, atendido por un matrimonio oriundo de Mérida. Ellos, con su hospitalidad y habilidad culinaria, nos ofrecieron unas fresas con crema supremamente deliciosas. La alegría de mi hijo era palpable, tanto que decidió inmortalizar el momento con una fotografía junto al cartel del establecimiento, en señal de agradecimiento por tan exquisito manjar.
With our hearts full of sweetness and gratitude, we returned home to finish our day with a movie that we enjoyed as a family. It was a day full of little adventures and endearing moments that will undoubtedly remain engraved in our memories. I hope that the story of my day has been to your liking and has conveyed the warmth and happiness we experienced.
Con el corazón lleno de dulzura y gratitud, retornamos a casa para culminar nuestro día con una película que disfrutamos en familia. Fue una jornada repleta de pequeñas aventuras y momentos entrañables que, sin lugar a dudas, quedarán grabados en nuestra memoria.
