Kumbang Permata

Hello Guys ... How are you today?

(Jewel Bugs)

We here, give it its name Kumbang Permatathis refers to the color of its body which is shiny and shining like the accessories of an expensive gem. Especially when viewed from far in the sun, the flash is shiny and charming.

Some people refer to it as Jewel bugs, which was adopted from English, but when viewed from the general language is Buprestidae, it is often found on every plant that has metallic wood. His job was always to drill the inside of the metallic wood tree trunk. Not only on every metallic plant, he also tried to drill every plant stem that often grows together with other plants.

Today, I met him not on the tree mentioned above, but on every leaf that had existed before his presence, they were seen in sufficient numbers in groups, it was seen that they were on every leaf of cotton plants and other wild plants. On one plant it appears that the leaves have been crushed and the leaves have just been attacked by insect pests, while other parts of the leaves such as cotton plants are still safe and do not appear to be contaminated with the conditions around them.

When we look at the two beetles that are on either side of the leaf, it doesn't seem like they are destroying the leaf, and certainly not them, because it looks like its body has been silent for several hours without doing any activity. This beetle is still not moving, just standing. In general they only drill hard metallic logs or hard metal wood. While the leaves do not have a trunk like a tree that is usually done.

But that's okay, let him be in each of those wild leaves, maybe he's resting on the next mission and anyway their bodies are very beautiful, I myself really like seeing it so I took a photo of it and I uploaded it here in this community.

It is said that some of these gem beetles have other important things that are often used by groups of humans as tracking devices, but that seems to be a myth, as far as I know they are known as metallic wood borers, included in the category of serious pests because of their ability to cause serious damage on a large scale. This can be seen from the results of reports by large plant cultivators in taking wood as a construction material for wooden houses. And of course one of the gem beetle pests is the emerald ash borer, and this is also often heard from certain circles of society.

(Jewel Bugs)

Finding this species is very easy, if you stand on one of the leaf branches, it is clearly visible because of the effect of the color of its shiny skin, especially when exposed to sunlight, the reflection of the light is very clear. The light emanating from its outer shell makes people turn their attention so that they move and advance towards it.

Most of these beetles, metallic green or rather dazzling matte green, the beauty of skin tones is even more beautiful when neatly arranged patterns are arranged in elegant spacing.

(Jewel Bugs)

A greatest masterpiece in terms of color, it looks so beautiful with the color. Its beauty is an attraction for every sight who sees it, the colors are very lively and real. So he deserves credit for it in a beautiful way in the beauty of the insect world.

Although he is a great crusher in his drilling, he remains a priority for insect lovers. And is an amazing natural phenomenon.
