Mawson Infrastructure said that the purchase of new miners will add more than 1.5 EH to its existing operations. Mawson has already purchased more than 3 EH of ASIC Bitcoin mining equipment.

The mining company, based in Sydney, has operations in the US and Australia.

Mawson has acquired 17,352 Avalon A1166 and A1246 bitcoin miners of the latest generation, which are planned to be deployed at Mawson's flagship enterprise in the US state of Georgia and on its Australian site from the fourth quarter of 2021 to 2022.

"We reiterate our goal for the end of the 21st CY-2000 PH and the end of CY22-5,000 PH and look forward to further information for shareholders on equipment purchases," James Manning, CEO of Mawson Infrastructure, said in a statement.

In July, the company said it had received a delivery of 250 Bitmain Antminer S19 Pro machines from Canaan and expects another 570 Avalon A1246 units by the end of the month.
