How to save money on Hive Engine exchanges

Hive is increasingly being noticed by people in the cryptocurrency world. The @splinterlands card game has certainly contributed a lot to the rise in popularity of this ecosystem. Because of this, the Hive Engine has grown a lot in terms of popularity and the number of transactions made by users.

So is there any way to be able to save some tokens while getting the same or sometimes more cryptocurrency we want? It turns out that yes. The way I will present to you today is not any magic trick but simply a different way of exchange than the classic buying or selling of assets.

The first way that will save you some HIVE is to use the right exchange. I personally recommend BeeSwap, it is a site that will allow you to save quite a lot of tokens if you exchange a similar amount of assets every day as I do. By depositing 1000 HIVE tokens on BeeSwap you will receive 997.5 SWAP.HIVE, in the case of a classic deposit via Hive Engine, the site will deduct additional tokens and you would only receive 990. It is worth remembering!

Okay, now that we have the right tokens to exchange in the Hive Engine ecosystem we can move on to the next page. Tribal DEX is another interface that works in the same way as Hive Engine with the difference that there we have implemented so-called pools. Pools are nothing more than a collection of two tokens in the appropriate exchange ratio in relation to each other. You probably associate pools with DeFi on Binance Smart Chain or Ethereum. The difference is that you can often find a more favorable exchange rate than by buying or selling on the Hive Engine. I will give you some examples below so you can better understand how this pool works. To start the exchange you need to go to this page and select the tokens you are interested in exchanging. Remember that not every token will have its own pool with another token. You can find all pools on this page.

First comparison: Selling SIM to SWAP.HIVE, better rate by 1.9%

Second comparison: Buying SWAP.LTC with SWAP.HIVE, better rate by 14.15%

Third comparison: Buying BEE with SWAP.HIVE, better rate by 7.6%

These are just some of the examples I found for this guide. As you can see, if you are interested in a given token, it may turn out that at the moment you can find a better rate by exchanging via a liquidity pool. But always remember to check the profitability, because it may be that the rate will be the same or even worse than the classic sale or purchase.
