Saludos mis amigos de Hive e Insectos del Mundo, para el día de hoy les mostrare unas imágenes de un animalito que solo se ve en tiempos de lluvia, no se manifiesta en climas secos. Este insecto lleva por nombre cochinilla y su nombre científico es: Porcellio Scaper .
Greetings my friends from Hive and Insects of the World, for today I will show you some images of an animal that is only seen in times of rain, it does not manifest itself in dry climates. This insect is called cochineal and its scientific name is: Porcellio Scaper.
Este cochinilla de la humedad, también es conocida como marranito y chanchito de tierra, tiene un color que varia mucho, pudiéndose encontrar ejemplares de color totalmente marrón o gris, junto a otros con los bordes o toda la parte superior cubiertos de manchas claras.
El cochinilla Puede alcanzar una longitud de entre 17 y 18 mm.
This moisture cochineal, is also known as marranito and ground pig, has a color that varies a lot, being able to find totally brown or gray specimens, along with others with the edges or the entire upper part covered with light spots.
The mealybug can reach a length of between 17 and 18 mm.
Se encuentran en Europa Central y Europa Occidental. En el Reino Unido, son una de las "cinco grandes" especies de cochinilla, donde es probablemente la más común de todas las especies de cochinillas.
They are found in Central Europe and Western Europe. In the UK, they are one of the "big five" species of mealybug, where they are probably the most common of all mealybug species.
Estas cochinillas son los únicos crustáceos que han logrado sobrevivir fuera de los ambientes marinos, gracias a una excelente capacidad de adaptarse a la vida terrestre, ya que su anatomía retiene agua. Es por eso que buscan vivir en ecosistemas de gran humedad.
These mealybugs are the only crustaceans that have managed to survive outside of marine environments, thanks to an excellent ability to adapt to terrestrial life, since their anatomy retains water. That is why they seek to live in ecosystems with high humidity.
