The reverse design revives the iconic Ancient Athenian tetradrachm coins. It features the "Owl of Athena", which originates in ancient Greek mythology. The goddess Athena kept an owl (her patron animal) on her shoulder that revealed truths to her and represented wisdom and knowledge. The symbol of Athena's owl was eventually used on currency as a symbol of the city of Athens, whose patron goddess was Athena. The Owl is perched on a tree branch, standing right, head facing, with an olive sprig and a berry behind on the left along with crescent moon in the upper left field. To the right.

These coins have been made every year since 2017 by the New Zealand mint and they have not made public the total mintage the coin is made from 999 silver and has a stackers edge making it easy to stack these coins like the Scottsdale stacker rounds, I do like these rounds and will look to buy at least 10 of these when they release the 2021 version I do like coins that have a historic link the detail on this coin is not as great as other coins from New Zealand mint and each coin can have a slightly different look.
