Phill from GCHQ - page 61 - The Hole

The Hole - Page 61 of the cartoon about Phill from GCHQ - a free comic that I have been working on since September 2016.

Introduction to this weeks page

Finally we are back in the present. The former intelligence recruiter Eileen knows a lot more about pagan rituals than we would have suspected and the self-reliant MI6 agent Judith is not controlling the events for the first time in a long while. The page became a bit more gritty and cramped than I had planned, but even though it lacks the grandeur of the previous page it might actually be a point. From the dreamy past to the rough reality of the present.

The thing about throwing sacrifices into a hole instead of making the offering in a sacred grove or spring, like the way we use to think of druidic magic, is not something I have invented. Sacrificial wells are known many places in the world and I got the idea when I read about some really deep Celtic ones, more than 20 metres deep, found in France.

Happy reading.
