Phill from GCHQ - page 53 - Dead Patriots

If you kill people, you should also confront yourself with the consequences of your actions. This time a large portion of the page is used for a Phill from GCHQ memorial wall where all the six victims, that has been killed by me, are honoured. It has been a big job, finding cities and back stories for all these six people, even though I have mainly tried to show the characters through portraying the grieving families. For people who are interested in details you can find the six characters here:

  • Burt 'Texas' Allen is seen on page 34 lower corner where his squad has just found the macabre remains of Emma Olsen. He is killed by Judith Gunn on page 40, being the person who Eileen says is watching telly.

  • Edward Ebersole is first (and last) seen in the house where the CIA is holding Eileen Fraser on page page 40. He is the unfortunate person being shoot, and his last thoughts goes to his mother.

  • Mark Hudson is also in the same house, but we never see him. He is the one sleeping. As there was no image of him I had to invent him. Looking through the sad pictures of fallen US soldiers and their families it was this photo that gave me the idea for him.

  • Drake Nudd is an important supporting character. The first time we hear of him is on the lower right corner of page 23. His death can be seen on (the rather morbid) page 32. My wife found this the most sad - leaving only a little lonely lady in New York.

  • Alfred Oaks. When we meet Alfred Oaks he is already dead. His mutilated body can be seen in the bottom frame of page 29 and later on page 33. Alfred is the first one to die in the comic, and you can see that I, at the time of creation, am already feeling remorse as I have felt it necessary to let my three commentators comment the event.

  • Emma Olsen is seen from behind on page 31 just seconds before the evil God, Ryuel, kills her. It is not obvious from the drawing if it is a man or a woman, but I knew right from the start that it was a woman. Her sex is mentioned on page 34 lower corner where her beheaded body is found by the Hounds 3 squad. What I did not know was that the USA do not have any females in their Special Forces (Yes, G.I.Jane is just fiction) - but through a lot of research I found the Cultural Support Team (CST), female soldiers that has gone through the USSOCOM exams and are embedded in the special forces to gather intelligence from children and women. Drake Nudd must have seen talent in this Michigan girl. Sadly her first covert mission was also her last.

Apart from that the page is really a transition page where we go to the headquarters of the CIA in Langley, Virginia, to see what the Americans think of this mystery. It might be a good idea to go to the website to read this page as it is full of little details that are badly transformed into the Steemit 640 px page width.
