Wellness is being aware of and conscious of the choices you make to live a healthy, happy and fulfilled life. In times like this, there is need to review our past choices in relation to our health and wellness. It relates with the understanding and acceptance of self and positive coping strategies to handle life and career challenges successfully. Manage your emotions well it has influence on your spiritual wellness and heart health.

Intellectual wellness: Intellectual wellness evolves around our ability to open our minds to new ideas and experiences that can benefit our personal and professional lives. This dimension concerns the individuals having the desire to and apply new concepts to improve their existing skills and take advantage of available resources to expand their scope of knowledge. Seek new challenges, be innovative, creative, write and develop new concepts.

Occupational wellness: Occupational wellness is about maximizing workplace happiness by carrying out regular health risk assessment and promoting preventive health in the workplace, exercise breaks, incentives or rewards for healthy behaviours among others.

Environmental wellness: It is concerned with being aware of nature, our environment, and our immediate surroundings. It is about protecting the environment and protecting ourselves from environmental hazards such like the corona virus pandemic. Considering of air, water, and land quality and taking the necessary steps to preserve them are essential for protecting us health hazards.

Financial wellness: Involves the process of learning how to successfully manage financial experiences. Money plays a critical role in our lives and not having enough of it impacts health as well as optimal performance. Financial stress repeatedly found to be a common source of stress, anxiety and fear for individual, parents and other group of people at large. Learning how to maximizing your financial wellness now will help you prepare to handle potentially stressful financial situations now and in the future.

Spiritual wellness: Spiritual wellness is our ability to establish peace and tranquility in our lives and live fulfilled through having a set of guiding beliefs, principles, and values that give meaning, purpose, and direction to all dimensions of our lives. In times of fear of corona pandemic, you need to obey the health and prevention tips, relax, sleep, pray, meditate and engage yourself in spiritual exercises that boost your boldness and faith.

Physical wellness:Physical wellness encompasses a healthy body through exercise, nutrition, sleep, regular health assessment among others. Physical wellness encourages principles of good health and knowledge, which affect behaviour patterns that lead to a healthy lifestyle.

Practice that demonstrate physical wellness:
▪ Engage in physical activity everyday for 30 minutes. You may break up your daily 30 minutes into 10 minutes bouts.
▪ Use stairs instead of the elevator or escalator and walk whenever possible. Learn to recognize warning signs when your body begins feeling ill.
▪ Eat a variety of healthy foods and control your meal portions.
▪ Abstains of psychoactive drugs
▪ Maintain a regular sleep schedule and get between 7-9hours of sleep each night.
▪ Practice safe sex.
