Happy Mothers' Day and Belated Delegation Day

First things first

Before I get "into" things, it would be remiss of me not to wish all mothers a very happy day. And I mean all mothers - of two legged and four legged children, biological and by, well, just because that's what's happens. In addition to my two and a half felines, I have three sons from other mothers...

As it turns out, this is a bit of a rush because we have a big celebration later: and 85th birthday. Now, that's a milestone and if I can be as chipper, active and upbeat as she, at that age, I'll be more than happy.

This month

Having started April on a high, it seems that things have taken a slight deviation from where we had all hoped. In my 3D life, let's just say that my delight - in last month's post, coupled with my plan, for the foreseeable future, to stash my liquid HBD, was not mislplaced. Sadly, my 3D job - as it was then - has mostly ended. That said, I've been going down several rabbit holes and, it seems, am in the process of securing new projects. Potentially on a similar basis. However, as they say, we don't get too excited about things until there are signatures on the proverbial dotted line...

It's not just me

It's not only me who's been facing some RL challenges: our dear @traciyork has some health issues and I can only admire her for not letting things fall through the cracks - she's pushed through with other Hive duties on her plate. However, things have for me: got so wrapped up in my own issues that I forgot about selecting recipients for my #hivePUD delegations. I remembered yesterday. So, I have, without bothering Traci, made some decisions based on my additional criteria which are that accounts must:

  • be less than 6 months old
  • have at least two qualifying posts since the previous power up day. Posts that qualify must have 200 words or more and exclude posts for Power Up Day, and Actifit.
As a reminder, the reason I added the second criterion is because -
Hive is a social blockchain: it's for socialising, ruminating and just generally hanging out.
  • a reputation of less than 61
  • not more than 500 HP in their accounts before they power up - both on the first of the month

More Rabbit Holes

I found myself going down various rabbit holes to make the decision and in the process, mistakenly delegated to @long888 who didn't actually qualify, so please accept my apology for any confusion. I will, however, make sure that your posts get upvoted for the next three weeks and I encourage everyone reading this to pop over and say "Hi!".

Delegations

This month's delegations have gone to three accounts, one of which is a curation initiative. @acid's @ocd does great work highlighting communities on the blockchain, supporting the promotion of Hive on Twitter through the #POSH initiative and now is working to retain noobs on Hive with the @lovesniper curation project that @ybanezkim26 manages. This is what I said about it in my April delegation post:

I know how hard it is to find one's way around the Hive and as I keep on saying, I have vivid and sightly traumatic memories of my early days on the blockchain.

Proof of delegation

This month's delegations go to two @gvkanten and @oceanbee and here's proof:

I haven't included a screenshot of the third delegation because it was an update of an existing delegation to that initiative. Of course, you're welcome to go and check my wallet for proof...because, of course, every transaction on the blockchain is public...

But that's not all

Oh, and remember that in addition to the delegations, these accounts are added to my fanbase and receive a daily 100% upvote and I ask @ginabot to notify me each time they post. If I have an opportunity, I pop over and have a gander and occasionally weigh in on whatever the post may be about.

A last word - or two

Thanks to @traciyork, @victoriabsb and @hivebuzz for all the hard work they do each month - and around the blockchain, generally.

Thanks, as always to @doze for the super Hive graphics that he develops and shares for us all to use. Do check out his posts and perhaps drop by and show some Hive love.

Last but not least, to Traci: expect a personal delivery as soon as my transport obliges. If it doesn't, the sentiment is winging its way to you....
