As it stands, the blockchain is at the center of all things financially at this point. Individuals, Companies and governments are looking for ways they can integrate, legislate or dispose of the digital payments system powered by the blockchain.

This is particularly highlighted in some power moves like the whole adoption of Bitcoin as a currency in some countries and the increasing adoption of crypto in a wide range of financial services.

Of course this is reflected in the price where Bitcoin has remained above the $40k mark despite the bottlenecks in one of its biggest markets, China. We've also had a significant alt season that has seen certain alts come into the fore with real use case value including our very own hive.

Seeing all these would make anyone bullish about the future of crypto in finance. But what about other sectors? In the quest for a financial revolution we must not forget that this technology promises so much than advantages in one sector. It is also important to know that while we may profit off trading on the crypto space for now, it definitely would not be the mainstay or the norm should things pan out like we hope.

Other Uses

Beyond finance, there are other sectors where the blockchain can really improve. The two major spaces are Healthcare and Logistics. As a matter of fact, there are already crypto based companies who have developed or are developing solutions based on this premise. For any sector that wins the adoption battle, it is a win for the entire space as the visibility alone with facilitate growth in other sectors.

For those who still hold concerns that crypto can be killed by governments, it can't. We've moved past that. Many governments recognize the superior technology on offer and so a frantic effort is being geared towards maintaining control of that technology with regulations.

We will survive the regulation attempts too, and it will be interesting to see a possible consensus the space has with regulators in the long term. One thing is certain, this isn't something that can simply be ignored.
